Hi happy st pattys day!!! Im in the process of writing another story as well its called Just One Night, its a harry fan fic so yeah! Its my second harry fan fic i've done so if you read or not either way, thanks! Okay back to the chapter!
The next few days nothing really happened. Ryder was on the edge the whole time the word baby came out. Even when Shawn's name was brought up.
"Sweetie you don't look too good, are you feeling alright?" My mom questioned scooting out of her chair and walking up to Ryder. I sighed in disbelief. He has got to be kidding me. We don't know yet, we won't know for a couple of weeks, he needs to calm down.
"Yeah, no I'm fine, thank you though." Ryder said brushing it off. "Alex what did you do?" Paul questioned digging into his chicken. I rolled my eyes not answering. "Yeah honey what's going on?" My dad also questioned. "Nothing! Now will you drop it!" I shouted getting frustrated. In which Shawn began to sob at the tone of my voice. "Oh nice going, Alex." Paul said lifting Shawn out of his high chair trying to get him to calm down. "Kids can we have a minute?" My mom asked my two brothers and they simply nodded standing up and walking out of the dining room. I huffed in annoyance.
"I don't know what the attitude is for, but it's not appreciated." My mom stated folding her hands across her chest. "And whatever is going on, you know you can talk to us." My dad added in. Ryder looked at me and I gave him the daggers to leave it alone. But to my luck Ryder didn't listen.
"Well Mrs. and Mrs. Summers, I think I got Alex pregnant." Ryder stated looking down ashamed. "Well of course you did sweetie, I mean that's why we have Shawn-" My mom paused finally realizing what he meant. Bad move Ryder, bad fucking move. "You did what?" She growled.
"Honey-" "Mom-" "You son of bitch!" She screamed. "You didn't feel satisfied when you impregnated her with Shawn so you want to spawn another?" "Honey please-" My dad begged. "Shut it George! I mean you barely can afford to raise Shawn? But another? Really?" She questioned walking up to the both of us. My nostrils began to flare at her judgement.
"Do you both not know what the fuck condoms are?" Ryder began to open his mouth but then decided to close it. And which I thank him for. "I mean the both of you, are so stupid. God I hope Shawn never does the things both do. Idiots, that's what the both of you are." She spat in disgust. "You're not better." I argued back. "At least I was in my own place paying my own fucking bills before I had you." She argued. "Piss off." I muttered getting madder and madder by the second.
"I don't know which one of you is worse, pregnant you or borderline diabetes you." And with that I smacked her across the face and began screaming. "Don't you ever talk to me like that again!" I screamed. Tears began to stream down my face in disbelief.
"Get out of my house!" She screamed. "Mrs. Summers I am so sorry-" "Get out!" She roared. With that Ryder grabbed my wrist and began dragging me out of the kitchen. "Alex we're leaving." Ryder muttered scrambling all of Shawn's things together. "I hope you had fun getting to know Shawn, because you won't ever meet your next grandchild!" I yelled picking Shawn up. Noah and Paul looked at me with wide eyes and looked at each other.
"Alex where are you going?" Noah questioned walking up to me. "I'm going home, I love you so much but please stay out of trouble, okay?" He nodded his head still confused. My dad came rushing out and trying to stop me. "Alex please-" "No Dad, I'm fucking done." And with that I yanked my arm out of his grip and sauntered my way out of his home.
I can't believe the nerve of her. We don't even know if we are! But I don't want her to be there when I find out the news. I buckled Shawn inside his car seat and closed the foor. I got inside the passenger seat and looked over at Ryder. He was looking down at the steering wheel. I couldn't tell what was going on in his head but I didn't care much to find out.
"Was she like this when she found out about Shawn?" He questioned looking up at me with tears brimming. "Not as bad, but yeah." I stated feeling sad. My mom who was supposed to be on my team never is. Never has been, actually. "Alex I- I am so sorry." He choked out. I leaned in bringing him in my embrace gently rubbing his back. "You don't need to apologize. You didn't know." I mumbled into his hair. "But that woman, I mean your mom... she was so viscious." I nodded my head agreeing.
My mom has never liked surprises, but this... this was too extreme. I understand, I would be upset as well if I found out my daughter was having a second child at the age of eighteen. Believe me, I understand. But to go to the maximum and make harsh comments is unbeliable. Growing up she never agreed with anything I did, the way I ate, the way I dressed, my actions, you named it she never approved. What I can't fathom is most of the things she went through or contributed. My eating habits developed with the help of her always having junk food in the home, when she didn't feel like cooking when taking care of Noah it always resulted into us going and getting fast food. My clothes she chose out until I was thirteen, I began to rebel agasint her once she began to lay stricter rules on me and not Paul because I was a girl.
My mom and I just don't get along. And that's one thing I just don't understand.
