"Oh honey so soon?" "Well it's been a month. I think it's time I have to head back or I miss my flight." "Alright sweet cheeks be careful." She said as I stepped into the airport. I sat down and waited for my flight to be called. "Flight 263 back to San Diego has been canceled. I repeat flight 263 to San Diego has been canceled." A woman voice spoke out. Fuck. I grabbed my phone out and called my grandma. "Hey. Um well my flights been canceled." After I hung up I got really bored waiting for her to pick me up. Instagram and twitter had nothing good on there. Might as well check Facebook. As I logged in I noticed I had a new message.
Ryder Colt: we need 2 talk.
I checked the date and it was from three weeks ago.
Alex Summers: about what?
I waited a few more minutes for his reply but there was nothing. I sighed and slipped my phone back into my pocket. So much for talking. Wait. I shouldn't be talking. I was the one who stood him up.
Ryder's PROV:
Alex Summers: about what?
She replied.
Three weeks without a word and she replies. I know I sound like a little bitch but I was so giddy that she replied. I decided to keep my cool and ignore the message. I need a plan on what I'm going to say. So might as well wait a few hours to answer back. I set my phone on my counter right as my mom walked in. My mom was one hell of a lady to put up with my shit..
"Yes?" "Oh nothing." "No there's something up tell me." "I was thinking about how great of a mom you are." "Whatever you want the answer is a no." "Mom I don't want anything it's the truth." "Alright well what's up? Why aren't you hanging out with your friends? Or a girl." My mom said popping a grape into her mouth. "Uh no reason." "You know you are the worst lier on the planet. Now tell me what's up?" "Well there's this girl...." "Stop there. How old is she." "Sixteen." She nodded for me to go on. "I kinda uh like her uh...a lot." I said scratching the back of my neck. "Aw how cute my little man is growing up!" My mom said ruffling my hair. "Yeah well I kinda screwed it up." My mom froze. "How so?" "I think she hates me." "And now why do you say that?" "She told me I was a scum bag and a low life." "Alright if this girl is going to call my son mean names then I don't like her." "Uh mom it's okay I kinda agree with her." I mumbled. "Hmmp. Now why is that." "I kinda took advantage of her..." I looked up at my mom and saw her with wide eyes. That's right this is the first time I'm talking about my sex life with my mom.
"And now when did this happen?" She said glaring at me. "Like uh three months ago?" "And now what else?" "Um well she told me she was pregnant. But I didn't believe her and then she invited me to her appointment for being one month. And I didn't believe the kid is mine." "Do you now son?" "I um. I don't know." I said truthfully. Part of me wanted to believe it was mine and the other half didn't. "Ryder listen. I know it takes balls to go up to a guy and say you're pregnant. And it hurts more to get rejected by him. Trust me I know. But do you really think it's not yours?" "I dunno. I don't know how many guys she slept with after me?" "I'm going to ask you this." I nodded for her to continue. "Do you really think she'd sleep with another guy after she got her heart broken from you? And also did she come up to you and say the baby is yours?" "No and yes." "Well if you want my opinion I think you're going to be a father and you better take darn good care of both of them." She said giving me a reassuring smile.
