"Mom do I really need to go?" "Alex Lewis you're going to check up on your babies health! You are going and that's final!" "If I go do I have to go to school afterwords?" "Are you really going to ask me that question young lady? Yes. You are going and no ifs or buts about it." I slipped on some sweats and a hoodie. Today is just not my day. I'm feeling sick to my stomach more than I do with the morning sickness. "Oh no you aren't! You are not going out in public like that! Go change!" I rolled my eyes and went back up the stairs to 'go change'. I slugged my body over to my closet. Time for the pregnant girl clothes. I slipped on some low waist pants with a flowy top. "Alright I'm ready!" I hopped down the steps and waddled to my moms car.

"Good morning Miss Summers how are you?" "Eh this morning the sickness got to me." "Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Would you like to see what the gender of the baby is?" "You mean I can find out today." "Sure why not?" "Okay!" I got situated and had my shirt lifted up ready for the cold gel on my tummy. "My you've gotten bigger than the last time you came." I nodded my head smiling.
You know what? Screw Ryder. He doesn't need to be in my babies life, it could be the baby and I. And also Jen. I need to stop worrying about him.
"That's the heart best of the baby." The doctor stated breaking me out of my thoughts. I smiled. "So the baby is okay?" "Yes, yes he is." She said emphasizing the word he. Wait, did she just say he? I turned to my mom. She was already in tears jumping around the office.
"So it's a boy." She nodded her head. "Congratulations Alex." The doctor patted my shoulder.
To say I'm shocked is an agreement. But honestly it hit me, there actually is a growing living baby inside me. And it is a boy. I'm having a son.
I broke out in a goofy smile. "Alright so next month I'll see you two?" The doctor said leaving the room. Both my mom and I nodded out heads. She smiled and shut the door.
My mom turned to me and squealed.
Basically she sounded like a teenage girl who just got concert tickets. "You're having a boy!" My mom yelled out hugging me. Then she gasped. "He needs a name!" I nodded my head. "Timmy! Timothy! His name it's going to be Timothy!"
Wait what? "Mom absolutely not." "And why not!" "Timothy, just doesn't sound right." "Well then what do you have in mind!" She said crossing her arms. "I don't know." I shrugged. It'll come to mind soon. I mean I still have like four more months. She rolled her eyes at my answer. "Well we need to hurry and get you to school." Buzz kill much?
I sighed and wobbled out of the hospital.
Yay she's having a boy. Right now my sister in law is pregnant having a girl so yeah I'm kind of excited.
