I repeat once more, the book will be coming to an end very soon. Probably in the next few (3-5) chapters. So the chaprers will be more legnthy than usual so it'll take longer to upload.
Three months later...
"Are you both ready to find out the gender?" Dr. Howard questioned as she began sliding the cold gel around on my stomach.
I looked over at Ryder holding Shawn. He smiled looking at me nodding his head. I felt butterflies swarming around in my stomach.
So much has changed in the last three months. Actually going through the first trimester with a happy and healthy baby growing inside me.
My mom's still the same. Disappointed as ever. I mean she's gotten better where she can stand to stay in the same room as me for five minutes but for Shawn's sake I could care less and don't make comments.
Ryder's parents are ecstatic as ever. I guess they figured something was up due to their son's behavior.
And Jen screamed when she found out. She literally died.
"Alrightie then, it looks to me that you two are having a healthy baby girl." Dr. Howard stated nonchalantly.
I got giddy in the chair and looked over at Ryder. He was looking closely in concentration. I'm guessing he didn't realize what she just said.
"It looks like you both will be having a little girl." Dr. Howard stated louder trying to gain his attention. He still was so focused on the monitor until I swatted his arm.
"Sorry what?"
"I said it looks like there is a baby girl swimming around in there."
Ryder froze with his mouth open. He looked at me with glee filling his eyes. "We're having a girl?" He asked. I nodded my head smiling and finally not being able to contain my happiness.
"Yes!" I screamed.
At first I was really hoping for another boy but I want Shawn to have a brotherly and sisterly relationship like what my brother Paul and I do.
"Did you hear that, Shawn? You're having a baby sister." Ryder cooed. Shawn bursted out in giggles clapping his hands. "This is amazing, I need to call Glen." Shawn stated pulling out his phone.
Dr. Howard smiled reentering the room bringing us our monthly photos. "Congrats you two." I thanked her while she handed me paper towels to clean my stomach. I can't beleive it.
I got up grabbibg my purse and taking Shawn out of Ryder's grasp and held his hand on the way out.
"Dude you're going to be a fucking uncle to a niece!" "... No shit niece is for girls." "... Yes! We're having a daughter!" I smiled listening in on them.
I pulled out my phone and dialed my grandma Ted's number. Recently she's been one of my top priorities on who to keep contact with.
When I called her freaking out that I was pregnant again she knew what to say. She's my other half right next to Ryder.
"What the fuck you want?" She questioned with a crunching noise going on. I'm assuming she's eating chips.
"You're having a great granddaughter." I exclaimed. "Hold the fuck up? Am I hearing you right?" I squealed into the phone nodding my head. "Yes!" I yelled realzing she can't see me.
"Oh honey, that's amazing." She cheered. "Everyone shut up for a minute! Alex is having a girl!" She yelled in which I heard cheers and roars all around.
"This is one of the greatest things I've heard right next to you telling me about my great grandson." "I wish you were here." I mumbled into the phone. "I know, sweets. I promise I'll be there soon before my other little shnookems is born." She cooed. "You swear?" "I swear on my baked zeeti." I laughed, "Okay, I believe you." "I'm so happy sweetheart, look I got to get going. I love you call me soon." "I love you too." And with that I heard the other line go dead and I slipped my phone back into my pocket.
