The bustle of citizens surrounds the two demon slayers that stand alongside the mugen train as they wait to board. The two sit in comfortable silence neither talking just basking in the morning sun. Kyojuro glances over at Sakiya debating if he wants to break the silence that sits between them or sontine to savor it.
Sakiya notices his gaze and looks at him, her head tilted to the side in a silent question. Kyojuro opens his mouth and closes it before his face breaks out into a soft smile "Thank you for today, Sakiya"
A look of confusion warps her face and Kyojuro huffs a laugh at her "You defeated seven demons today Sakiya. Four of which I had been trying to fight myself at the time. Ubuyashiki-sama was right, you are very valuable to the corps and the fight against demons. You are strong, impressively so"
Sakiya looks away from his face and touches her face where the spider lily marking lies. "I may be valuable to the corps but I am far from strong on my own. The only reason I am of any use to you is because of my blood, or what my blood contains. That is the only reason I am strong. It grants me strength I would have never had on my own. I barely know how to use this power and someone who has power but cant use it is basically useless"
A large hand brushes her own away replacing it with his where it lingers over her upper cheek. Kyojuro turns her face back towards him, his smile still present upon his lips "But doesn't that mean you are strong, Sakiya?" he asks, making her eyes widen as he continues.
"If you say that what is in your blood makes you stronger wouldn't it need an already strong host to be used? You do use it Sakiya and you use it well. You killed seven demons in one day, something that is extremely difficult if not nearly impossible for even a hashira to manage. You brought not only one but two Kazuki demons to your side and the first one you did so after fighting him for weeks. You came face to face with Muzan and lived to tell the tale even when he had been sending his strongest demons after you. You had lost your entire family and decided to still keep going when most do not. For those who do continue they lose themselves in their own hatred and anger but you stayed the same. Selfless, caring and willing to protect. You stand up for what you believe in even when you know others don't agree and yet you never persecute them for their faults or actions towards you."
