Sakiya walks through the sun-dappled forest, her eyes searching for something unseen to all but her. "The progenitor of breathing styles... he almost killed Muzan didn't he?" Rui asks from where he resides on her back. Surprise flashes through Sakiya's eyes as Rui had never really spoken about Muzan before.
"Yes. some three hundred years ago the progenitor of demons and the progenitor of breathing styles fought. Muzan was almost killed during this confrontation" Sakiya tells him.
"What happened after? How did Muzan make it out alive and not have that man come after him again?"
Sakiya hums at his question not really knowing the answer herself. She knew what Yoriichi had done to Muzan; what should have been the end of this whole demonic conflict. What came after... how the demon king escaped death was still unknown to her. Perhaps she should find out how he did it so that she could prevent it from happening again.
"I'm not too sure Rui. he should have been unable to escape death. It was almost certain at that time. All I do know is that the two never met again after that for he hid during the remainder of that man's life"
Rui stays silent for a few moments thinking about what Muzan could have possibly done to survive. "He looks like upper one"
Sakiya stops walking at Rui's mumbled words. "How do you know that Rui?"
"I saw him. He was sitting next to you when you were talking to that other kid. His presence is very powerful and it made my blood run cold"
Sakiya's mouth becomes dry, unsure how to really proceed with this revelation. Yoriichi's words come back to her. Ones that spoke of his presence becoming more solidified in the living world as her spirit continues to anchor him here. He had mentioned that those with heightened senses would start to detect him. Kokushibo had been able to sense his presence but no one else had been able to actually see him until she had allowed Kotetsu to see the world through her eyes. Now though it seems Rui had also been able to see the man and had noticed the uncanny resemblance he held to Kokushibo.
"I see. There is no need to fear Yoriichi. He will not harm you. He actually quite likes you. As for why he looks like Kokushibo, that is because they are twins. I would advise you to refrain from bringing that up around him though as he still holds much resentment and hatred for Yoriichi even after all these years" Sakiya explains seeing the surprise flare up in the small spider demon's spirit line.
