The entire family were stunned before Edward stuttered "but how?"
I looked at Jasper who shrugged before I sighed "I'm a warlock meaning creating a shield in my mind or someone else's is the least that I can do. Its child's play to me."
Jasper moved closer to me as I wrapped my arm around him making most of the family smile. I assume because they have rarely seen Jasper like this. Rosalie even smiled which made me happy that I was starting to win her over. We sat down on the couches in the living room before Carlisle asked me "so what is your story?"
I looked at Jasper who nodded before saying "my name is Sebastian Swan but my real name is Sebastian King. I was born into a family of witches and warlocks, we use what is called chaos magic meaning that we have no restrictions on our magic but we can still pull it from things and people. My mother was called the scarlet witch and my father was the azure warlock. They were two of the strongest magical beings in existence."
I stopped there to take a breath when Emmett asked "why the different color magic?"
"Because every person has a life force that is a different color which makes our magic a different color because our magic comes from our life force. Everyone's life force has a certain color that is expressed with our magic." I paused as I saw Alice and Ben smiling at that "mine is black and gold. Anyway, when you're some of the strongest magical beings in existence, you tend to make some enemies. My family and witches or warlocks in general have vampires as enemies mainly because our blood can make vampires stronger not just physically but gift wise and our magic can make them near invincible. So our kind has been hunted for centuries because of it and the ones that refuse are massacred."
I felt Jasper dose me with some calm for the next part which I silently thanked him for before starting "I was 5 when it happened, we were in Louisiana at the time. I remember feeling that my families wards and boundary spells had been disrupted. I remember my father who was outside rushing inside and barricading the door with his magic before ushering me and my mother into their room. I remember hearing the door get busted open before seeing my father's blue magic barricade the bedroom door instead before hearing his screams and refusals as my eyes were glued to the blue magic flickering and fading in and out. I remember the moment that I knew my father was dead, it was when the blue disappeared completely from the door and my mother let out a quiet sob."
I felt tears in my eyes and my voice crack before feeling Jasper grab my hand and squeeze, "I remember my mother sliding out from under the bed where we were hidden before standing in front of it and letting her magic fly. I then heard my mother screaming as one of them fed on her. One of the first things that young warlocks and witches learned was a spell to become invisible which includes sound and smell. I hid for four hours hearing my parents be tortured then dying. I buried them and was then put in the system before I was adopted by Charlie."
I stopped speaking and I saw venom pooled in everyone's eyes at that which made me smile a little. Ben looked at me "so does your kind have soulmates as well?"
I smiled "yes, we call them adelfí psychí or the greek word for soulmate considering the fact that most witches and warlocks do come from Hecate along with Apollo being the one to make sure that soulmates found each other. Our soulmates once fully bonded tend to make our magic even more powerful considering that we can then pull magic from our soulmates life force as well."
I watched as all of them took that in seeming absolutely stunned at that before Esme nodded then turned to Jasper who still had a hold of my hand "congratulations on finding your mate. How are you feeling about it?"
"I feel absolutely amazing about it,"Jasper spoke. "Knowing that I've been waiting this long for my mate and then having them be everything that I ever wanted or imagined is amazing." He paused there and I squeezed his hand that was still in mine knowing that he was about to tell them what we had figured out. He sighed "but there's something else, when I say this don't feel bad about it especially considering the fact that Sebastian figured it out and I didn't. But I'm an empath meaning I can feel everyone's emotions on top of my own including vampire emotions."
I saw Ben's, Carlisle's, and Rosalie's eyes widen as they caught on before Emmett spoke "we know Jas but what does that have to do with anything?"
"It means that blood lust and thirst is an emotion, a vampire one but an emotion none the less" Jasper spoke slowly. "Meaning that the only time I slip is when I'm with one of you because I'm feeling all of your thirst on top of my own." I heard all of the others who hadn't caught on immediately gasp in shock before going into a stunned silence.
Esme spoke first "oh Jasper, what can we do to help?"
Jasper looked at me and I nodded "my gift used to be a lot stronger than this. I used to be able to pick and choose the intensity of the emotions I was feeling. In order to do that again, I need to drink human blood." Edward was about to say something but I put my index finger to my thumb and moved it in a zipping motion letting my magic out a little using a spell to take away Edward's voice. Jasper smiled at me as the others chuckled before he continued "so I suppose drinking human blood once a month would help." Carlisle nodded his approval before Jasper leaned more into me sending me gratitude for being there and helping him figure it out.
