I woke up to the sound of arguing the next morning and I groaned knowing that it was most likely between Edward and Jacob but was stunned as I walked out of the cave to see Edward standing there. I really didn't want to speak to him but my curiosity got the better of me. "Where's Bella?"
Edward turned and looked at me and I could tell that he hated himself for letting Bella go off with Jacob. "She went off with the wolf."
"Oh would you stop," I glared at Edward who looked at me confused which made me even angrier. "The wolves have offered to protect Bella from this mess that you both have started, the least you can do is offer some gratitude to them." Edward didn't speak which I didn't particularly care about as I sighed "how are the others?"
Edward just shook his head as Bella and Jacob came back before Jacob headed to join the fight. Edward, Bella, and I headed back into the cave where Edward was keeping Bella informed on the fight, and from what it sounded like the others were doing fine.
Suddenly, I felt a cold feeling creep up on me like a bucket of ice had just been poured down my back. Edward apparently noticed something too as he got up and sped out of the cave with me and Bella following him. I gasped as I came face to face with Victoria and Riley.
Victoria smiled cruelly at Bella and me before Edward took her attention "you know that Victoria doesn't love you, Riley." Riley looked confused as Edward continued "her soulmate was killed a year ago."
Riley looked at Victoria confused before shaking his head "no, you're lying."
Just as Victoria spoke, "kill them."
Edward just had to keep aggravating her "we ripped James apart and then we burned him." I groaned as Riley lunged and Edward took him on knowing that he wasn't going to be able to fight both of them so I would have to take Victoria.
"Victoria," I spoke up loud as I motioned for Bella to back up and away. Even though I hated her, I loved Charlie enough to not want her dead. Victoria snapped her gaze to me as I continued "I'm the one who beat James up and held him still so that Edward and Jasper could rip him apart." I saw her snarl at me and knew that I had made her even angrier at me but for some reason, I had to protect Bella.
She lunged at me but I threw her back with my magic, and she landed hard on the snowy ground. She got back up and looked at me with wonder "you're a warlock." She smirked and I knew that now she would be aiming for my blood but I wouldn't let her get it as only three people were allowed my blood and none of them were here.
Victoria lunged at me again and this time I used my magic to make her see her worst fears. I thought it worked but the next thing I know she's right in front of me. I moved backward and only realized in the back of my mind that Riley and Victoria were pushing me and Edward toward the battlefield.
I sent magic at Victoria that took away her sight for a minute while also casting a spell causing her pain. She writhed and screamed for a minute but I knew that it wouldn't keep her for long. I heard Edward beside me getting thrown around by Riley before finally taking his head off.
