After the shit show that was trying to decide what to do with the child that Bella was somehow carrying, I had lived for over a hundred years and was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my brother got a human pregnant. This was an absolute mess.
I had to admit that it was hot watching Sebastian put Edward in his place. I also noticed something else it was a feeling from Bella, it was a feeling of smugness and then hatred. I was confused until I realized exactly what it meant if Bella were to keep this child, she would force one of us into turning her.
I withheld a groan as I caught Sebastian's eye who had seemed to notice the same thing and come to the same conclusion. It was then that we noticed that Leah had followed Jacob and Seth. All of them came inside and we noticed that Bella was getting weaker and weaker.
The baby didn't seem to want anything of the sort like food but suddenly, Jacob spoke "I think it wants something warmer to sink its teeth into."
We all looked at him confused as Edward spoke "oh please shut up Jacob. What in the world would you know about a vampire baby?"
I watched as Jacob rolled his eyes before Sebastian looked at Edward "please shut up Edward. I think that Jacob is right." We all looked at him in disbelief that he was agreeing with Jacob who he had never shown a care for before. "The baby is half vampire, right? Vampires need blood."
Carlisle stared stunned between Jacob and Sebastian before nodding "we could try to get blood into the baby."
Bella nodded "let's try it." Carlisle went to get a cup of human blood from the stash Sebastian and I kept in the house. He warmed it up and gave it to Bella in a cup who immediately drank it. We all watched stunned as her skin became less pale and she looked much better.
It was then that we all heard more howls and Jake looked outside "Jared, Quil, Paul, and Embry."
Sebastian looked at Jake for a minute before nodding "let's go." Together the two headed out front to meet with Leah and Seth and then with the other wolves who had shown up.
It was a long time of waiting but twenty minutes later Sebastian came back into the house. He immediately came to my side and I smiled before he turned to all of the others "Paul says that the pack has agreed to wait until the baby is out of Bella but they still want it dead. They cite that it's a danger to the people in town and who they are supposed to protect."
That night, I dragged Sebastian up to my room as the others meandered around and Jacob fell asleep along with Bella. Sebastian looked at me "what do you think about the wolves being here?"
"I'm not a huge fan," I spoke as we lay on the bed wrapped up together. "Mainly just the stench of them but they're our natural enemy so not attacking feels weird."
He nodded "I know but I can't believe that Bella wants to keep this baby." He was silent for a moment before saying "actually yes I can. She's always been stubborn and refuses to give up on what she wants."
The next morning, we headed downstairs to see Esme giving food to Jacob for Leah who was outside. Ben then walked up to Jacob "we need to hunt and we can't do it if the wolves are outside."
Jacob nodded "you could all hunt together while we watch her."
"No," Carlisle spoke. "You wouldn't be able to harm your brothers." Jacob nodded knowing that Carlisle was telling the truth but it still meant that we needed to figure out how to hunt without getting attacked.
