I took a sip of my drink as I was standing next to Jasper currently celebrating the wedding of my least favorite people. I felt Jazz slip his arm around me as I clenched my fists still thinking about earlier and Edward's annoying attitude. I should have slapped him along with ripping his hand off. But I had a feeling that I was going to be getting a second shot at it very soon.
Jazz slid his hand around my waist before he tightened his grip. Partially reassuring himself that I was still here as he was still getting over my death and partially to keep me from going after Edward and my sister for their insults.
Rosalie and Emmett walked over to us and I smiled at their orange eyes. They had joined us in human blood once a month and since they went recently it was still orange but it was fading. Suddenly, I smelled a dog and knew immediately that it was probably Jacob.
I walked over to the woods and saw Edward and Bella already with Jacob. I sighed as I listened to their conversation before seeing Paul walk up as well. He looked at me for a couple of seconds before saying "you don't actually smell too bad."
I chuckled because, of course, he would say something blunt when he first saw me as a vampire. Nevertheless, "you don't smell bad either which is a surprise."
He flipped me the finger before coming to hug me. I hugged back glad that my friend didn't see me as a monster. We were both pulled out of our hug when Jacob stormed off being pulled away by Seth while Bella glanced at Edward before they headed back to the reception.
I groaned and looked at Paul who was still looking where Jacob disappeared "I better go and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." I nodded and headed back to the others.
Later that night, Bella is taken away by Alice while I stay with Jasper and the others. Jasper looked at me "are you ok?"
"Yeah," I nodded still looking around. "I can just sense a lot of people's fears and it's a little overwhelming." He nodded understanding what that felt like considering he could feel all of the emotions. I watched as Bella said goodbye to Renee before leaving with Edward.
We all settled down for the night and I headed to Jasper's room. I still wasn't going home because I wanted to wait a while as I did not fully trust myself along with my father. Jasper lay on the bed while I removed my shirt. He then opened his arms and motioned for me to climb into them.
I smiled and did exactly that. I settled against his chest as Jasper immediately tightened his arms around me. He took a breath and sighed "do you think that you are going to go home soon?"
"Why?" I asked. "Don't you love having me here?"
He frantically spoke, "of course I love having you here but don't you want to get back to your room and spending time with your dad?"
I chuckled a bit at his attempt to placate me and cover himself. "I want to be a hundred percent sure that I won't actually kill him. Plus I like spending time here." I leaned up and kissed him which he eagerly responded to.
Skipping to a few days later as nothing of importance happened. I was still staying at the Cullen House when Alice who was sitting with Ben suddenly picked up her phone and called Edward "is everything ok?"
Since everyone who was in the house had vampire hearing, we could all hear what Edward was saying. When Edward spoke his next sentence "Bella is pregnant."
Everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and all of our jaws dropped. I looked at Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett who just shrugged their shoulders indicating that this was pretty much impossible. I had a sinking feeling that this was more bad news and would lead to more problems which wasn't comforting at all as the last time I had a sinking feeling it ended with my death.
The last thing that Edward said on the phone was that he was coming home and I had a feeling that he was going to try to kill the child considering the fact that he was so obsessed with waiting as long as possible to turn Bella. All I knew was that if Edward was this close to getting smacked.
