Scary Stories and Nightmares

As we all finished the school day and headed to our cars, we were all even more annoyed to see that Edward and Bella were talking by the cars. I looked at Jasper who saw what I was looking at and groaned as well unable to believe the idiocy and the gall of his adopted brother. 

I shrugged before heading to toss my bag in the car, as I was doing so Jasper was standing over me like a hawk and glaring at Bella and Edward as if expecting them to dare to come over. I mean seriously I would have thought that they were going to burst into flames with how he was glaring at them. 

As I stood back up from tossing my bag in the car, I was suddenly turned around and pushed hard against the car door. I was stunned for a minute before feeling Jasper's amusement at the situation before he swallowed my mouth with his. Seeing as one of us didn't need to breathe and that the other could hold their breathe for a ridiculously long period of time you can imagine that neither of us needed to pull away for quite awhile. 

The rest of the family was standing there smiling minus the two idiots: Bella and Edward. I reluctantly pulled away from Jasper but not before he whispered in my ear "I'll be over tonight." I nodded and smiled before he released me and headed to his family. We all got into our cars and pulled out of the school parking lot with me heading out before Bella could dare ask me for a ride. 

That night as I took a shower and finished my homework in my attic room, I heard Bella speaking about the fact that she was going to the beach Saturday and asking dad about Edward going camping at Goat Rocks. I groaned knowing that she was asking to try and find out what Edward was. 

I was brought out of my thoughts by a knock at my window, it was around midnight. I smiled immediately knowing exactly who it was and turned to see Jasper standing in my room as I had left the window open for him. He wasted little time in flashing to me and bringing my mouth to his making me smile into it. Since dating me, Jasper has definitely become more open in his affections and is not shy about showing it. 

We laid together on my bed where I looked at him before saying "I think Bella's going to find out soon."

He looked confused "what? Why?" 

"She's been asking about where you guys are going camping," I started watching the look on his face that became more grim as I spoke. "She's heading to First Beach on Saturday." 

His face looked even more grim at that and I knew it was because of the shifters that he had told me about. I was more worried that given the fact that they hate each other one of them might actually find enough braincells to figure out a way to tell her. 

"Let's not talk about this right now," I was brought out of my thoughts by Jasper speaking and leaning in to kiss me again. I nodded and relaxed into the kiss which was hard not to do considering in the short amount of time we had been dating Jasper had become my safe space. I fell asleep that night with Jasper holding me tight to him like he was afraid that if he let go that I would disappear. 

Saturday came and Bella headed to La Push while I spent my day in bed with Jasper. Later that night after Jasper had gone to hunt so that he wouldn't be thirsty, Bella came home shaken before immediately heading to her room. Hours later around five am, I heard a scream and realized that it was Bella having a nightmare. 

Next thing that I know, Bella is knocking on my door before shoving into my room and asking me "is there something weird about the Cullens?" 

I looked at her exasperated "what?"

"They can't be normal," my ears perk up at that realizing that she's starting to figure it out. "I mean they have pale skin, speed, strength, and beauty." She kept going like I wasn't even there but to be honest I didn't care as I was trying to control my breathing. 

She left without letting me answer which thank god for small miracles before I pulled out my phone and called Jasper. Jasper picked up on the first ring making me smile knowing that he was happy to pick up when I called. Jasper's voice came through the phone "she knows Jazz." 

"What?" Jasper spoke stunned 

I nodded before forgetting that he couldn't see me. I then said "Jasper are the others with you?" 

He sighed "yeah, they are around the house. Give me a minute while I call them." 

"Ok"  I spoke before waiting for him to get all of his family. 

I had been sitting in my bed correcting one of my civil war books when I got the call from Sebastian telling me that Bella knows. I gathered my family while Sebastian was waiting on the phone before we all heading to the living room and I put him on speaker. 

"We're all here Seb," I spoke to him "and you're on speaker." 

"Ok," I heard his voice come through the phone. "Bella knows or is close to figuring it out. She came in here asking if I thought there was something strange about you guys. She also said that she didn't think you guys were human but I'm not sure if she knows exactly what you are yet." 

If the others weren't paying attention before they definitely were now, and most of them (Rosalie) were glaring at Edward. Rosalie leaned forward and spoke "and do you think that she'll let this go." 

Seb chuckled "absolutely not, you'd have better luck convincing a brick wall of something then convincing Bella not to try and find out secrets. Speaking of, now that she knows that you guys aren't human she's going to be looking for what I am considering I hang out with you guys and don't exactly look human either. So thanks for that Edward." 

Rosalie, Emmett, Ben, and I all burst out laughing at the sarcasm and sass that Seb was showing to Edward who looked scolded and annoyed but knew that the four of us would jump on him if he said something. Seb ended the call after saying bye to us and that he would try to deter Bella but guessed that it wasn't going to go very well making my family except for Edward smile. 

Rosalie was the one that asked the question we were all wondering about: "What do we do now?"
