I sighed "you can read her mind because she is no longer a shield. She doesn't have a power."
"What!"
I looked at him playing confused as to why he was acting like this, "why? What did you see in her mind?"
"I saw that she only wanted Renesmee so that the baby would force me to turn her."
I nodded "I figured as much."
Edward stopped in his tracks and looked at me offended "and you didn't tell me."
I scoffed as if I couldn't believe what he was saying and heard Jasper scoff as well from beside me. "Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett, and I have all tried to tell you that my sister was only with you for what you could offer her but you refused to listen to us. Hell, you ignored your own mate for us."
"Oh god," Edward's eyes widened. "Bree." He moved to the side and ran a hand over his face before he turned to us. "What in the hell do I do now?"
Jasper interrupted "well for starters you divorce Bella and then you go and talk to your true mate and decide whether you want to give it a go."
Edward nodded "I just can't believe that I was so blind and that she had Jake as well."
"That's what Bella does," I spoke solemnly remembering what had happened before. "It's not the first time. In Phoenix, it was two of my best friends that she played against each other causing a blowout fight and that's just the tip of the iceberg with her."
Edward sighed and I could tell that he was having a hard time believing it. It was then that we were interrupted by a loud snap, we looked at each other before rushing outside to see Seth groaning in pain. His collarbone and a few ribs were broken. I looked to see Jake look stunned before I turned to Bella "what the hell Isabella?"
Bella looked at me "I don't know. I want to see my daughter."
Jake and I looked at each other. I was happy for Jake, especially considering it meant that we were at peace with the pack. I also had a feeling that because Jake had found his imprint in Renesmee, he was seeing some of the red flags that we were seeing. Jake hesitantly handed Renesmee to Bella who admired her daughter.
Ten minutes later, I noticed that Jake was getting agitated. I walked over to him being careful not to startle him as I knew from Paul and Sam that wolves get tunnel vision when it comes to their mates. I gently placed my hand on his arm as he turned to me smiling gratefully.
It was another few minutes before Jake had enough and offered to take Renesmee. Bella looked at him confused before she handed Renesmee to Edward who took his daughter as Bella turned to Jacob "what's going on?"
"I can't control it Bella," Jake started. "I imprinted."
It took Bella a second before she put it all together "you imprinted on my daughter." Jake nodded and as Bella stepped up to him, I stepped in front of him blocking her from him. Bella stopped and looked at me "move Sebastian you are no match for a newborn."
"You forget Bella," I chuckled a little as I responded to her. "I'm a hybrid. Half warlock and half vampire. You are just a vampire so I would be careful."
Bella backed off knowing that she couldn't beat me before we all headed back inside the house and to the living room while Edward went to find Bree. I sat on the couch next to Jasper as Rosalie brought in Renesmee who was inching her arms out.
Ben who was on the other side of me nudged me "umm, Sebastian."
I looked at him and then where he was looking only to see Renesmee was indeed reaching out but not to Bella no she was reaching out to me. I looked at Bella who looked pissed then at Jake who nodded before I reached out and picked her up.
She immediately touched my cheek and showed me everything from a little before her birth to now. I looked at Bella who was still fuming but also confused as I noticed that Renesmee had fallen asleep. I handed her to Jake who took her out of the house as he could see that yet another bust-up between me and Bella was coming.
Bella wasted no time "how dare you presume to be the mother instead of me."
I reared back "oh for god's sake Bella. Will you please stop lying to everyone and yourself? You didn't want Renesmee, you only had her to force the Cullens into turning you." I could tell by her facial expression that I had hit the nail on the head.
I snorted as I was so fucking tired of her before Jasper dragged me up to the bedroom knowing that I could cause a whole scene and also feeling that I was about a second away from letting my powers go free.
