I could tell most of us despite having twenty-nine vampires here in total were nervous about this. If we lost it would mean either death or being hunted down for eternity. Jasper looked at me knowing exactly what I was thinking. He pulled me far enough away from the others that they couldn't hear. "Are you sure you want to do this Bash? You don't have to fight the Volturi."
"I know," I spoke sincerely because I did know. I knew that if I asked then Jasper and most likely Rose and Emmett would leave with me. "I can't very well leave Renesmee in the hands of this crazy family. Even though I don't particularly like Bella, I do like Renesmee."
Jasper nodded "alright then, we'll stay."
We headed back to the clearing and noticed that Bella and Renesmee were gone. Edward spoke up "she took Renesmee to see Charlie. Jake went with them." I nodded in answer as Edward spoke again "I'm using this time to speak to Bree."
I nodded "that's probably a good idea."
When Bella got back to the house, anybody who knew her could tell that she was hiding something. I could tell on her face that she was hiding something important. I read her fear and held back a gasp mentally thanking myself for keeping my mind protected from Edward because he definitely was not going to like what I had just seen.
As the days cycled through until it was nearly Christmas, everyone was finding it hard to get back to their normal routine. Jasper, Emmett, Rose, and I were in the living room when Rose asked "whatever happened to your friend Jace?"
I sighed "he's still around but I distanced myself from him not wanting him to get hurt."
They all nodded at that before we watched Bella head up to Ben and Alice's room. I took the chance and nodded to the other three indicating for us to go outside. They nodded and we looked at Carlisle who had just walked in "we're going for a hunt."
He nodded and we took off into the woods. We got far enough away from the house that they couldn't hear us and stopped. Emmett looked at me "what's up?"
"You know that the minute we stand in that field and Aro shows up he's going to be interested in us." They nodded and I sighed nervous to tell them the next part. "I have a plan that might get Bella killed."
Jasper immediately turned his head to me "how?"
"I'm going to show Aro everything that Bella has done." They nodded as I looked at them worried. "It may get Edward killed as well."
The three enhanced vampires looked at each other before Rosalie pieced it together "and you're worried that we will see you differently or turn on you." I nodded feeling silly as Rosalie scoffed "well, that's the dumbest thing that I've ever heard. Whatever happens to Edward is deserved especially after what he's done to all of us."
Emmett nodded "you've become more like a brother than Edward and you've done whatever you could to help us. Of course, we'd choose you over him."
I let out a sigh of relief before feeling Jazz's hand slip into my own. I looked at him "you know where I stand especially against the mind rapist. I just feel a little bad for Bree."
I nodded in agreement before we all actually hunted to gather our strength knowing that our deadline was almost up. When we got back to the house it was to see Renesmee packed.
We all nodded to each other and headed to the field where Alice had the vision that we would meet with the Volturi. Renesmee sat on Jacob's back ready to leave at a moment's notice while all of the witnesses stood next to and behind us. Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie all stood next to me as we waited for the Volturi and their guard to show up.
