Rose, Emmett, Jasper, and I headed outside to the woods to practice sparring with our powers as we were waiting for the inevitable blowout of the fight between Edward and Bella.
We were currently throwing everything at each other, keeping each other strong in terms of our gifts. Rosalie used her siren abilities, Emmett his fire, me my magic and my fear manipulation, and Jasper his emotional manipulation.
We were stopped when we heard yelling "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT A DIVORCE?" We all came to a halt and just stood there listening to it. "BREE CAN'T BE YOUR MATE. I AM."
I chuckled knowing that this was only the beginning of Bella losing her shit, especially considering that Edward now knew everything. They walked out of hearing range as we all headed back to the house. Renesmee immediately came up to me and Jasper with Jake following behind her. Renesmee was growing at a rapid pace and no one really had an idea of what was going on but we were looking.
I smiled at her before Bella walked into the room fuming "come on Renesmee let's go hunt." Renesmee looked at me and Jasper. We both nodded and she went with Bella.
Later they both came back and Bella looked at us " I saw Irina in the woods. She saw Jacob and ran away. I think we need to talk to her."
Carlisle and Edward headed out to look for Irina in case Irina had seen Renesmee. I knew that Edward didn't care for Bella but he cared about his daughter so he was going to do what he could to protect her.
A couple of hours later the two came back with no sign of Irina. Alice at the same time dropped a crystal vase causing all of us to look at her and Ben to walk over and try to comfort her. Alice looked at us all "the Volturi is coming in full force. The guards, the kings, and even the wives."
Jasper and I looked at each other before Jasper faced Alice "why?"
Alice sighed "I don't know but I do know that Irina was the catalyst for why they are coming."
"An immortal child," I spoke suddenly having a sickening feeling that I knew why they were coming. All of the others looked at me in confusion so I spoke again. "Irina and the Volturi think that Renesmee is an immortal child."
"What do we do," Edward spoke scared for his daughter. "The Volturi have made their choice and there usually is much capability of talking them down."
Jasper nodded agreeing with him before speaking "we could run but Demetri could track us and we would lose."
Emmett nodded "we could ask our vampire friends to stand with them, to bear witness to Renesmee being a unique human/vampire hybrid and not an immortal child. We could present our case to our friends and hopefully, with a large number present, the Volturi might stop to consider our case."
I nodded "that's an idea but we're still forgetting that the Volturi hate me and will see your coven having me as a threat even without my blood. Plus Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett are enhanced vampires through my blood."
Alice and Ben head out to hunt but don't return making all of us look at each other. Sam met us at the treaty line where he told us that Alice and Ben had left through the ocean.
We all raced back to the house and found a note on the copyright page of The Merchant of Venice. I chuckled at Alice's smart thoughts knowing that we would find it. She told us to get a hold of as many nomads as possible including Tanya, Siobhan, Amun, and Alistair.
Jasper looked at us "I'm going to go call a couple of old friends." I knew that he was going to call Peter and Charlotte although I had a pretty good idea that they already knew.
Edward looked at all of us and I could tell that the divorce with Bella was on the backburner as Renesmee was more important which I understood but I had a feeling that Bella was going to do whatever she could to stop it.
Edward looked at Jacob then "if we're going to invite the nomads, I need you and the wolves to lay low. They are not likely to like that we are friends with wolves. Tell Sam the same." I nodded in agreement surprising even myself. Jake nodded before phasing and leaving to talk to Sam.
The rest of us in the house joined Jasper and started making phone calls to anyone and everyone we knew not sure how much good it would actually do.
