After hanging around on edge for the last day or so, we were waiting with Carlisle who I could tell was freaking out a bit but I had no idea what about, I got a call from Paul. I looked at my phone and answered it before hearing "Jake is coming to the Cullens."
I looked at the others who looked stunned at the information before asking "why?"
"Apparently Bella is coming home with some rare disease and Jake is pissed."
I looked at Carlisle who looked worried and nodded "thanks for calling Paul." Jasper immediately came up next to me as I hung up looking confused yet at the same time looked to be making plans in his head.
I sighed and knew that we had to be ready for someone to get seriously hurt. That was when Bella walked into the house with Edward. It was then that I saw what was going on. Bella was pregnant. Jasper and I looked at each other before I spoke out loud "what the fuck?"
Edward stared at me "I don't know but what I do know is that the baby inside of her is killing her."
I rolled my eyes "if you're so worried about it then kill her or change her. What do I care?"
Jasper placed a hand on my arm "you care because you care for Charlie." I nodded because that was true.
Rosalie looked at him with one of the deadliest glares I had ever seen from her and that was saying something "it's a baby for god sake, Edward. A living thing."
I snorted "semi-living." She glared at me and I put my hands up showing that I surrendered much to the amusement of Jasper.
It was then that we heard Jacob come to the house before Bella surprised all of us and called him inside. Jasper and I looked at each other as Jacob took in everything including the fact that Bella was pregnant knowing that he was about one second away from lunging at Edward.
However, before he could and before he could give us a show that most of us would have enjoyed watching Edward asked him to go outside. And I heard a suggestion less than five minutes later that I knew was not going to go over too well.
Edward came back in and asked the rest of us to leave so that Jacob and Bella could have some time alone. We walked outside and Jasper looked at Edward "what did you suggest?"
He sighed and seemed reluctant so I spoke up "he suggested that Jacob sleep with Bella and have a kid with her after they abort this one." I glared at Edward before pushing every bit of my fear power at him. As my irises turned pitch black he fell to his knees as I forced him to watch his worst fears "how dare you suggest that to Jacob? You know that Jacob is in love with her and you want to rub salt into the wound by letting him sleep with her and then rip her away from him. Can't you just let him have a clean break? Why you two are so obsessed with my bitch of a sister is a mystery to me."
At this point, my power was basically coming off of me in black waves I was so pissed at him. I wasn't focused on anyone but him and I suddenly felt a hand on my arm. I jerked and turned my fear-inducing eyes to the person who had touched me before registering that it was Jasper.
I took a breath and let my eyes go back to normal and reeled in the waves of my powers. I calmed down and noticed that Edward was getting up which caused Jasper to hold onto my arm even tighter so that I couldn't go after him again. Edward was saved by Jacob storming out again as we all headed back inside and judging from Bella's glare to Edward the plan suggestion was not a success.
An hour later I was in Jasper's study with Jasper who had immediately taken me up there as he was worried that I would lose it on Edward again. My phone rang and I looked at the ID to see that Paul was calling me. I answered "yeah."
Paul sighed through the phone "we know that Bella is pregnant." I looked up and looked at Jasper who looked equally alarmed. "You, Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie can leave. We just want the baby and the other Cullens."
He hung up before I could answer as Jazz and I looked at each other. We headed downstairs just in time to hear a howl as we all headed outside to see Jacob and Seth. Jacob looked at us "Sam wants to kill Bella and the child."
I nodded "I know." All of the Cullens minus Jasper looked at me in confusion. "Paul just called and warned me. He said that Jasper, Emmett, Rosalie, and I could leave but everyone else was fair game. I guess from Sam as a favor to me."
Edward looked at me "then call Sam and ask them to stop this."
I looked at him like he had gone insane "fuck no. You really think that I can convince Sam not to attack and come kill Bella? You technically broke the treaty as this baby is causing her harm and killing her so they see it as a violation of the treaty."
Jasper snorted but coughed to cover it up before Bella weakly spoke "please Seb."
I chuckled before looking at her for a minute "once again, no. Paul and Sam reserve the right to enforce the treaty that you all agreed with. Technically if I had been human the treaty would have been broken when I died. This has been a long time coming so as far as I'm concerned you're on your own." I knew that this baby was more about forcing Edward to turn Bella than because she cared about it. So as far as I was concerned she made her bed and she could lie in it.
