The next night I was at the border with the Cullens chasing Victoria who was back. She was keeping to the boundary so that neither side could get to her without fighting each other. I had to give it to her. she was smart as hell and knew her way out of things.
Jasper was next to me along with Rosalie who were both protecting me. It made me smile at how much they both cared but I was interrupted by hearing Emmett and Paul get into a fight. I looked at the werewolf "Paul, stop." His wolf looked at me and studied me for a minute before backing off to his side of the line as Emmett came back to us.
We all realized that during the commotion, Victoria had managed to get away. We all looked at each other before heading back to the house, I ended up in Jasper's room and immediately laid on the bed. He looked at me "how do you think Bella and Edward are getting along?"
"Don't know," I spoke seriously. "I also don't care. I mean that me and Bella just don't like each other so there's that. Do you think that Edward's going to agree to turn her?"
"Probably not," Jasper spoke. "Edward thinks that because we're all vampires, we're damned for eternity. He's also one of the most repressed people I think that I've ever met."
I chuckled at that before falling asleep in his arms. Two days later, Edward and Bella were coming back from Florida and I knew that as soon as Bella found out what had happened between Paul and Emmett she would figure out that Victoria was around.
I headed to school with the Cullens and saw Bella and Edward who joined us. I looked at Bella "how's Renee?"
"She's good," Bella sighed as she spoke but then she looked at us. "What happened here and why is everyone so tense?" I looked at Jasper before hearing a motorcycle coming up to us. I turned to see Jacob and smiled as I waved before he got off and looked at Bella.
Jacob sighed "did you tell her?"
Edward looked at him "no, I didn't."
Bella looked between the two of them confused before saying "what in the world is going on?"
"Fuck it," I spoke when it was clear that Edward was not going to tell her. Jasper let me go as I walked to her and Edward shook his head when I caught his eye begging me not to say anything. I just looked back at Bella "Victoria's back." Her eyes widened before I continued "Paul and Emmett had an altercation while chasing her."
I watched as Bella argued with Edward for not telling her before she headed off with Jacob leaving Edward watching after and angry. I looked at Jasper who shook his head before we headed to class. We all got through the day fine but Bella still hadn't seen Edward or come home but I was less worried as I know that Jacob would take care of her.
It had already been an awful week. What with the fact that Victoria was back and there was pretty much always tension between the wolves and the vampires. I knew that this was only the beginning of this disaster and it wouldn't stop until Victoria was dead and Bella was changed. I also knew that Jacob was not going to let Bella change without a fight but I knew that it was futile because Bella was absolutely stupid and had no sense of self preservation.
