Michael's POV:

My mermaid daughter had just shifted into a wolf before my very eyes. How is this possible?!

 "Mama, w-what does t-this m-mean? A-am I in d-danger?" Harmony asked.

"No, honey. We'll protect you. We are always going to be here for you. Always going to protect you. Don't worry. You can just go on living your life. Being part wolf is just one thing more to make you unique." I smiled at her and took her in my arms.

 "Thanks....p-papa.." she said softly.

"Let's head back. I think your Aunt Athena might want to know. Last I knew, she really wanted to see you three." Marina smiled.

"A-alright, mama.." Harmony mumbled. Something was wrong, but I wasn't sure what.

"EEEEKK! My little niece is a wolf and mermaid?! Amazing!" Athena exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes as she continued raving on and on over Harmony, Earwyn, and Aerwyna.

"Honey, calm down now. Your going to make them uncomfortable." Marina's Aunt Cordelia said.

 "Oh, yea..Sorry," Athena smiled.

Marina's aunt was now an elderly lady, but because she was a mermaid, she was still pretty active. Mermaids can live for a long time. I've actually learned a lot about mermaids by being married to one. It's really interesting.

Though, now that Harmony is both a wolf and mermaid, I wonder how her life will play out...Surely her so-called destiny is getting closer. I won't let my daughter fall into the hands of danger.

"Marina, just to keep her safe, maybe we should keep Harmony from going anywhere alone." I said to my mate when we were alone.

She nodded in agreement. "That sounds like a good idea, Michael.." she said quietly.

I could sense a but. "But?"

"But what if she begins to feel like a prisoner? What if we're being too protective? What if, despite our efforts to keep her away from her destiny, her destiny finds her? What if she'll still remain in danger despite our efforts?!"

I took her in my arms. "Shh...It'll be ok, water lily. Your right, those are all very good points. But we have to at least try. And if her destiny still manages to find her, we'll still try to protect our daughter. As long as I'm alive, I will do my very best protect her." I meant what I said.

From that day forward, Harmony was never alone. We even moved Aerwyna into her room. We are taking every precaution to make sure Harmony is out of harms way.

Harmony's POV:

Things were getting a little crazy. I was never allowed to go anywhere alone. Just like when I was little. Mom and dad even took me out of school and homeschooled me again! Just when I thought they were getting past being overprotective this happens. I hate this! Why can't I be normal like everyone else...?

Though, I must admit, the being part wolf part mermaid thing is kinda cool.

I love swimming in the ocean with all the sea creatures. I was given a few abilities as a mermaid. Being able to turn my tail into legs, and being able to talk to sea creatures, and the ability to tell when others lie!

Aerwyna is the normal mermaid. She has almost all the abilities of a normal merperson. Being able to talk to sea creatures is an ability we both have, but it's actually a very rare ability to have. She and I love to go swimming together in the ocean with our animal friends. Dolphins, fish, whales, sea turtles, occasionally, even a shark! We've managed to befriend a shark or two. They are pretty nice if you treat them nice. Though other sharks...you might wanna swim away quickly if you see them.

And it is pretty cool having a wolf. I've begun to really like Sierra.

"Aww! Thank you, Harmony! I like you too!" she said with a smile.

I rolled my eyes and crawled into bed and said goodnight to my sister. It was currently 10:00 P.M. "Night, Sierra," I said with a smile to my wolf.

 "Night!"

 Harmony's Dream:

"Harmony..." I heard a gentle, musical-like voice call my name.

I opened my eyes and was shocked to see I wasn't in my room or even my bed. I was lying in the middle of a huge field. It had lots of flowers and butterflies. Even some fireflies. It was silvery-like.

"Harmony..." a voice called. It wasn't the same voice that had woken me up though.

I stood up and walked toward the voices. I stopped short when I suddenly saw two women.

One, had long, silvery white flowing hair with sea blue accents in it, a silvery white flowing dress with sea blue accents, and a golden crown with pearls and seashells on it. In her hand, she held a golden scepter with pearls and sea shells.

The other woman, had shining silvery hair, a long, sparkly silver dress. Her eyes were a real dark blue, kinda like night time. They seemed to shine like stars, and she had a moon-like mark on her cheek.

 "W-who are y-you?" I asked nervously.

"Do not be afraid, child. I am the Oracle of the Sea." the woman with the crown said softly.

"And I am the moon goddess." the other smiled. I stared at them.

 "W-why am I h-here?" I asked, my voice a little shaky.

"Harmony, your destiny approaches. You will soon see why you are so special. Why you have that mark on your cheek." the moon goddess told me.

"You shall bring peace and harmony to two peoples. We know your parents try to protect you from the danger that approaches. However, they cannot escape your destiny." the oracle said.

 I nodded. "M-mama and p-papa are v-very p-p-protective of m-me...With a-all their e-e-efforts, I d-don't know h-how my d-d-destiny could e-even find m-me!"

"Do not fret, child. Your mate and destiny await you." the moon goddess replied.

 "M-m-mate...?" I said in almost a whisper. They nodded with a smile. "I-I n-never thought I h-had a m-mate.."

"Of course you do, my child. He is very different from others around him as well. He is very lonely and needs a friend. He needs his mate." the moon goddess smiled at me. "Go to the beach, Harmony. There, you will find him."

 "T-tonight?" I asked. They nodded.

"Tonight, you will find out what you are meant to do.." the oracle said.

I woke up with a start.

"Sis? You good?" Aerwyna asked groggily. I must have woken her by mistake.

 "Y-yea..." I mumbled.

"What happened? Was it a nightmare?" she asked, concerned.

Aerwyna and I have been close since we were six. We told each other everything. I knew if I did have to face this mysterious destiny, I could count on her to always be there. So, I told her everything. She stared at me for a couple seconds.

"Why tonight..?" she murmured. I shrugged. "Well, anyway, from what you told me, they never said you had to go alone. And I'm not sure I quite like the idea of you going out in the middle of the night alone chasing after your destiny. But, if you don't want me to come with you, I understand. If you don't want me to, I won't go."

 "T-thank you, s-sissie...I t-think I w-w-would l-like it if y-you c-came a-a-along." I told her.

She nodded and went over to the closet and got out a couple sweaters. "It's a little cool tonight. I think we'd better put on our sweaters." she told me, handing me my peach colored sweater. She then put her purple one on and we snuck out the window. Then we ran to the beach.
