Derrick's POV:

We stared at Marina and Michael.

"Outside of a dream..?" Leah asked.

 "Yes..." Michael answered.

"What did they say?" Ambrose asked.

"Are you sure you saw them? It could've been your imagination."

"It wasn't our imagination, Louise. We really saw them. They said....We were hurting our daughter..." Marina told us.

"That we didn't understand or really know our daughter...Her destiny has found her."

"Oh, Michael! What have we done!" Marina cried.

"What do you mean, her destiny has found her, Uncle Michael?" Delia asked, as she and her brother came down the stairs. They must've heard everything that was said..

"Harmony has found her mate....She found him before Aerwyna." We stared at Michael wide eyed.

"What?" I asked, sure there was some terrible twist to this whole thing.

"Harmony's mate is a siren." Marina told outright.

"What in the-?! You can't be serious?!" Leah gasped.

"We are....Harmony told us he was in danger. I don't know how she knew, but she did. The look in her eyes was terror and pain. Just like it would be if it was real. Alon is her real mate...And we need to change something right now." Marina said firmly.

"It's time we do what we should've been doing since she was born. Stop overprotecting her. it's time we support her." Michael declared. "Will you help us?"

"I admit, I'm still confused, but ok. I'll help. I've known her since she was a baby. I'm not gonna sit here and let her die. But are you sure this siren boy is legit?"

 "Yes."

 "Alright then. Louise, Leah, Kamilia-"

"Don't say it, dad. I'm going."

"And so are we." Leah declared.

"I'd feel much better I'd you would stay behind. And that includes you both." Ambrose replied.

"Dad, we've known her as long as you have. She's practically our real cousin." Jack told him.

"Yes, dad. We want to help." Delia said.

Ambrose groaned. "I know what your going to say, Leah. Alright. You three can come. Just promise me, you'll all be safe. I can't bear to lose any of you.."

"We'll be safe, Ambrose. And believe me, you'll never lose us. We'll always remain in your heart."

Ambrose smiled and the four walked down the stairs. "We're with you, Michael. Lead the way." he told Michael.

"Well? Are we going to have to twist your arm or what?" Kamilia asked.

I groaned loudly. "Fine. Come on you two."

 "Yes!" my daughter exclaimed.

"This isn't a game, Kamilia. This is serious." I said.

"I know." she replied, going down the stairs.

 "I don't like this." I stated.

"It'll be fine, Derrick.." Louise reassured me. Part of me was reassured. The other part was in panic, thinking about the fact if she dies, she can't reassure me anymore. My wolf whimpered at the thought.

"If you guys are coming with us, we need to go now." Michael declared. Louise and I nodded and followed after Marina them.

Harmony's POV:

I was swimming towards where I heard Alon's voice coming from. I stopped to get a bearing on my surroundings. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I froze in fear.

 "Harmony, sea star..."

I let out a sigh of relief, realizing it was just my mother. No one else called me sea star except her. I didn't want to run into any sirens except my mate and I guess I thought she was one. I turned my head to see my sister and mom.

"Sea star, your father and I are really sorry. We've made you feel like a caged bird and that was not right.." my mom sighed. "Your father and I are going to help you and support you all throughout fulfilling your destiny. I know you have doubts that you can do this, my sea star."

 I smiled. "Th-thank you, mama."

"Harmony, you do realize that by going as deep as you were going, you were going to wind up in siren territory?" my sister asked me.

I nodded. "My mate's voice is coming from there. I have to find him."

Aerwyna nodded. "I understand. Lead the way."

I nodded and swam off, going deeper and deeper into the ocean. I stopped suddenly. Right in front of me, was the darkest, deepest place in the ocean. Deeper than I've ever been before. Darker than I've ever seen before. I could still hear my mate's voice. It was coming from inside. I was afraid, but I took a deep breath and went in.

"Harmony! Your hair clip!" Aerwyna exclaimed.

I stopped and touched my pin, confused. My eyes went wide as I saw my mom and sister. This part of the sea was so dark you couldn't see your hand right in front of you. But I could see them and I think they could see me. Not only that, something on my pin. I took the pin out of my hair and gasped.

 "I-It's g-g-glowing!"

"Of course...These pearls are very special. Not much is known about them. But, they do withhold power. In their natural habitat, they must glow....Or something." my mom mused.

 "Or something?" Aerwyna asked.

"It never mentioned glowing in the book I read on these pearls. It makes sense though, that they may glow in the siren territory. They're magic and only found here. Then again, I could be wrong, therefore, something else must be the reason."

I listened intently to my mom, but my attention wandered as I heard Alon's voice getting quieter. It sounded close, but it was getting quieter.

"S-something is w-w-wrong with Alon. Q-quick!" I declared, swimming off as fast as I could.

We were going deeper and deeper into siren territory and it was now darker and ever. But, the light from my pearls shone brightly. I could see clearly, and I think my mom and sister could see me. I suddenly gasped in horror and stopped short.

My mom and Aerwyna stopped behind me and I could feel them pulling me down behind an old, wrecked ship. My mom got in front of me, Aerwyna hovering above, as if they were trying to cover the glow from my clip. I soon saw why. Someone was with my mate. Another siren. The siren soon left in a huff of anger.

When we were sure he was gone, I sang out a couple lines of our song, letting him know I was here. I then swam towards him. Alon was chained to the ship wreck, unable to escape. I felt like crying at the sight of it, but I knew I had to remain strong. I swam up to him.

 "Alon.." I whispered.

"Harmony!" he exclaimed in relief. His voice was hoarse and scratchy.

"Alon, what happened to your voice?!" Aerwyna asked quickly.

"I used it to call Harmony. I never wanted to drag her into danger, but...I couldn't think of anything else...I needed her..." he answered. "I sang and called as long and as loud as I could. But now, I can't sing..."

"Alon, i-it will b-b-be ok..." I hugged my mate tightly, but gently. I didn't want to hurt him more than those sirens already have. As Aerwyna and my mom helped me undo his chains, I thought about what was going to happen as we helped him escape. Somehow, I knew we'd be caught. And I somehow knew, that would be when I'd need to speak up. Face my fears and destiny.
