This is the sequel to My Mate is a Mermaid.
Harmony Gracelyn is the daughter of Luna Marina and Alpha Michael. She was born with a disability that affects her speech and growth. She isn't a normal werewolf, however, and she isn't a normal mermaid e...
I hung back as my family walked back to the pack house.
"Harmony, sea star! Come on!" my mom called.
"I-I'll b-be right th-there!" I called back.
"Do you want one of us to stay with you?" my dad asked.
"N-no! I'll b-b-be o-ok."
"Alright....Be back to the pack house soon. Understand?"
I nodded. I waited till they were out of sight to walk closer to the ocean. "A-Alon!" I called. I immediately saw him come swimming up, a big smile on his face.
"Happy birthday, Harmony. I got you something." he said.
"Y-you didn't h-h-have t-to. J-just h-h-having y-y-you here w-with me is e-e-enough."
"Maybe...But I still wanted to give you this." he handed me a small box, wrapped securely in seaweed.
I smiled and opened it. I gasped, my eyes wide. Inside, what a hairclip, made from the rarest pearls in the ocean. "T-these a-a-are t-the r-rarest p-p-pearls i-i-in the o-ocean.." I looked at him.
"I know. They're only found in siren territory. They're said, to be very powerful. I've heard, that that Great Oracle the merfolk have, has them in her scepter and even her crown!"
"R-really?" I asked, amazed.
He nodded. "No one really knows what the pearls do, or even if they are really magical. Nobody has ever seen them in action."
"Wow..." I murmured.
"Here, let me pin it in your hair." he took the pin from me and clipped it in my hair.
I smiled. "H-how d-d-do I l-look?"
"Gorgeous...Like the princess you are.."

I blushed. "W-w-want to g-g-go s-swimming..?" I asked.
He nodded. "Your birthday isn't over just yet. And you deserve to enjoy every second of it!"
I giggled and jumped into the water. We had so much fun. We collected sea shells, and swam with the dolphins and sea turtles. I love being part mermaid.
Though, sometimes, I wonder about Alon. He's different than most sirens I hear about. Not only because he's kind and caring, but...his powers seem stronger than that of a normal siren. Sometimes, he'd demonstrate his abilities for me. He says he can control his voice to the point where he doesn't control anyone with the sound of his voice, unlike other sirens. He would sing and things would move! He'd move things with his voice!
He picked some coral and gave it to me with his voice. I smiled and blushed. He ended his singing and kissed my forehead. "I'd better go, Harmony. I'll see you tomorrow."
"A-a-alright. B-bye, Alon!" I waved, watching him swim away. I then swam off quickly. My parents wouldn't be happy. "M-mama! P-p-papa! I'm h-h-h-home!" I called once I had gotten home.
"Harmony Gracelynn! Where have you been??" my mom scolded, as I walked into the living room where she and dad were sitting.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry, mama..I-I was s-s-s-s-swimming..."
"Alone?! Harmony! You know the sirens are getting nearer and nearer to Aquatica! Who knows where they are or how close they are! You could have been killed by one of those monsters!" mom yelled.
"Marina, calm down...Please.." dad said, his hand on her shoulder. "Harmony, your mother's right. We told you girls not to go swimming without your mother!"
"I kn-know....I'm s-sorry..." I mumbled.
"Harmony...We just don't want anything to happen to you...We love you...We can't lose you.."
"B-but I'm n-n-not a b-b-baby a-anymore! I c-c-can t-t-take care of m-m-m-myself!"
"We know that, baby girl, but-"
"B-but n-nothing! T-the w-w-way y-y-you h-h-have a h-h-hold o-on me I f-feel like a c-c-c-caged b-bird! I-it's a w-w-wonder I e-e-e-ever f-found m-my mate!" I yelled. I then realized what I said. Crud. Mom and dad stared at me.
I then heard a crash from behind me. I spun around to see my brother with a shattered cup and milk splattered all around his feet. He stared at me, his eyes wide.
I didn't go upstairs to my room. Instead, I ran out of the house and to the beach. It was where I felt safe. I needed my mate right now...But I couldn't go find him...He was in the siren territory where I would stick out like an orca in a pod of dolphins! I sighed and closed my eyes. At that moment, I heard a voice.
"Harmony..." I looked up to see the Great Oracle of the Sea and the Moon Goddess.
I stared at them. "W-what a-are you d-d-doing here..?" I asked shakily.
"We know what happened with your parents." the oracle said softly.
"I-I d-didn't mean t-t-t-to t-tell t-them!"
"It's alright, Harmony. We know you didn't mean to. We're here because you need someone...Your mate."
"I-if y-you are s-s-suggesting I g-g-go t-there, I c-c-can't. M-my p-parents a-are already m-m-mad and I d-d-don't have a d-d-d-d-d-" I tried to get the words out of my mouth, but surprise! I couldn't.
"We know you don't have a death wish, but we aren't saying you should go there. We have a way for you to communicate with him when you need him." the Moon Goddess said.
"I-'m s-s-sorry...I w-was just m-m-mad.."
"It's alright, Harmony." the oracle said gently.
"S-so h-h-how d-do I c-c-c-communicate w-with him?" I asked.
"Sing. Sing from the heart. This song is one you both know deep down. It's written in your hearts. It's a song only you two will be able to hear. Even when you both are in separate places, you'll hear each other. It's a special song. Just as you two are..."
Just then, a bright light surrounded them. It was so bright and blinding, it made me cover my eyes. "Remember, Harmony, sing from your heart." I heard them say just before the light went brighter and then, faded away. When I opened my eyes, the light was gone. And so was the moon goddess and The Great Oracle of the Sea.
I sighed and walked forward. The water ran over my feet. I closed my eyes and cleared my thoughts. Then, the words just came to me. I then, began to sing. Hoping, that wherever he was, he'd hear me.
