Alon's POV:
I couldn't believe my sister was here. On land. And what I couldn't believe even more, was the fact she was a mermaid! Or the fact her mate was Jack. Well, basically the fact she had a mate. I was told it was impossible and only happened once. With Harmony's parents.
"Y-your my soulmate?" Raidne looked at Jack with wide eyes.
"I guess so, Raidne. And I am honored to have such a beautiful girl as my soulmate." Jack smiled as he spoke, holding my sister's hand.
Honestly, I was shocked to see my sister so......vulnerable. She's usually so serious.
"My name is Jack."
"I-it's nice to meet you...Jack.."
"Come with me. I'll take you to meet my family."
Raidne nodded. "Ok.." She still sounded really nervous, but who could blame her. I wanted to reassure her or something, but I wasn't sure what to do.
We've never been close. She was always mother and father's favorite. The one they favored over me. If I had the normal desires of a siren, they'd probably love me more because I'm also stronger than a normal siren. I don't mean to brag or anything, I'm just saying, that's what mother and father are like.
Harmony and I followed Raidne and Jack, who walked hand-in-hand, back to the pack house.
"Hey, y-you o-ok," Harmony asked, taking my hand. I looked at her and smiled.
"I'm alright." I replied. That wasn't exactly true though...The truth was, I was nervous. My own sister literally does not like me. At all. I don't want to go as far as to say she hates me, but who knows? She might. We have a very complicated relationship. Very complicated.
Harmony's POV:
"Jack? Is that you? Your back already?" Delia asked, coming down the stairs. "Wait, who's this?"
Raidne stayed close behind Jack. She seemed almost scared. I noticed that Raidne was a timid girl. She was clingy to Jack. Honestly though, I can't blame her. With what she's going through, I probably would be freaked out too.
"It's ok, Raidne." Jack told her reassuringly, before turning to his sister. "Raidne, this is Delia, my twin sister. Delia, this is Raidne. My mate."
"H-hi...It's nice to meet you.." Raidne said in a quiet voice.
I could see Alon didn't like seeing his sister so nervous. But not only that, it also looked like he'd never seen her like this before. His face had a mixture of concern and shock. Later I'm gonna need to ask about their relationship...
"Wait, your what now?!" Delia exclaimed. She squealed in excitement and ran back up the stairs. "Mom! Dad! Jack found his mate!"
"Delia!" Jack yelled, going after her.
Raidne stayed behind. I frowned. Alon frowned and went up to her. He gave her a small smile and hugged her. She tensed up a bit, but finally relaxed. Raidne gave him a small smile and the three of us went up the stairs.
"Delia, I would like to be the one to tell them! Get back here!"
"C-can I s-s-suggest you t-two s-stop before y-you get in t-t-trouble?" I stated. They didn't listen. Not that they ever do when their fighting...Raidne better have a lot of patience. Because that's the only thing that's gonna get her through their sibling fights.
"Jack, Delia, what are you doing??" Uncle Derrick popped his head out of his room.
"I'm trying to teach my brother a lesson!"
