Earwyn's POV:

I was shocked when I heard Harmony say she found her mate. I stood there speechless for several seconds before I regained my senses. I'm not saying I'm not happy for her. I am. She does sometimes seem like she needs someone. But, I don't think any of us thought she'd have a mate. We never expected it and we sure didn't expect her to have already found him.

Mom and dad were sitting on the couch, dad comforting her.

I shook my head and went back into the kitchen to get a rag and some spray. I suppose I had been so shocked, I dropped my glass of milk on the floor, breaking the glass and spilling the milk.

"Brother? What happened? What's wrong with mom and dad?" Aerwyna asked, coming into the kitchen.

"I guess you just got back from hanging out with Darnell." I mumbled.

"Yea. And if this is what I'm gonna come home to every time, then I'll invite him over here and never go out! Now, what happened? Where is Harmony?"

"I don't know where Harmony is. Harmony got into a fight with mom and dad and ran out of the house." I explained.

"Makes sense why she's gone and mom and dad are upset, I guess...But why is there a shattered glass and milk all over the floor?" she asked.

"During the fight, Harmony said that the way they were keeping a hold on her, it was a wonder she ever found her mate. I came out and heard that part. And, I guess, I was so shocked, my glass of milk dropped out of my hand."

"Wait...Her mate?! Oh no.." Aerwyna turned her face towards the door.

"What's going on, little sis? Do you know something I don't know, or are you just thinking because she's...different, she can't handle a mate?" She turned and looked at me like I was nuts.

"Of course she can handle a mate, Earwyn Michael! She may be much shorter than an average sixteen year-old girl and stutter badly, but she is just as capable as anybody!" she looked angry.

"Sis, calm down! I didn't mean anything by that.." I said, putting my hands up.

Sometimes, when she gets real mad, she can end up giving the one she's mad at a good soak.

"I've known since she and I were six years old that she was feeling like a caged bird! All she's ever wanted was to be free like you and me! Treated like a normal girl! To have mother and father proud of her like they are of us! I stopped being so protective and controlling when I found out. I didn't want to hurt her anymore. And I know for a fact, Earwyn, that she can handle a mate! And children!"

"Aerwyna, I'm sorry...I didn't know...If I would have known how I was making her feel, I wouldn't have treated her like this..." I felt terrible. My whole life, since my sisters were born, I've protected them. Harmony especially. I never meant to...hurt her. I never once thought that my actions would harm the baby sister I love so much.

"It's alright, brother. But I think you should apologize to Harmony. Also, your right. I do know something you don't. I was there when she found her mate." I stared at her. "It's a long story. Now, come on. I'll help you clean this up and then we can go find our sister." I nodded, wondering what she meant by, "It's a long story."

We walked all over the pack, but we couldn't find her. We ran into Dawn and asked if she'd seen her, but she said no. She offered to join our search. We knocked on Darnell's door and asked, but he didn't see her either. He joined our search as well.

"We've looked all over but there is still no sign of Harmony!" I exclaimed.

"It's alright, Earwyn. We'll find her." Dawn reassured me.

"She's right, bro. We just need to keep looking." Darnell replied.

"But...what if she left the pack..?"

"Let's not think about that, dude." my wolf, Finn begged.

"I don't think she would because her mate is here. He can't leave. Plus, we would have felt it if she did." Aerwyna stated.

 "That's true.." I said quietly.

"Wait! I have an idea! One place we haven't looked!" Finn declared.

 "What!? Where?!" I demanded.

"The beach! We didn't check the beach!" That's true! We haven't!

"Come on, guys! My wolf has an idea of where she might be." I said, motioning them to follow. When we arrived, we were at a distance when I saw a boy with a black tail sitting beside Harmony. I remembered the description of sirens my mom gave me and gasped. That was a siren! I growled and was about to run over, but my sister grabbed me and pulled me down behind a rock. Darnell and Dawn hid with us.

 *Just before they found Harmony*

Alon's POV:

I was in the middle of training when I heard it. My mate's voice. I had no idea how I could hear her from this far away, but it was as plain as day. I looked around quickly and nervously to see if anyone else had heard it, but no one did it seemed.

"That's strange.." I muttered to myself.

"Alon! What do you think your doing?! Get back to your training!" my father yelled at me.

I flinched and cowered under his hateful stare. "Y-yes, sir..." I said quietly. "Um...M-maybe I'd be able to concentrate more if I were alone?" I looked at him hopefully, though nervous and kinda scared on the inside.

"Very well, son. Go." I nodded quickly and swam off as quickly as I could.

It's hard to explain, but it seemed like, from the sound of her voice, Harmony was upset. I was concerned and worried about my little mate. I knew this wasn't a good idea, to leave to find Harmony when I was supposed to be training, but I couldn't help it. I love her and I don't want her to be upset. Ever.
