*Author's Note*
I'm really sorry the last couple chapters have been in third person. I just thought it'd work best that way. Also, this chapter will be in third person. Maybe not all of it, but probably the majority. Again, I apologize for that. We will get back to the character's pov soon. And now onto the story!
Third Person POV:
Alon's father, Calder looked up at the merfolk a short distance from him and his wife's body. Just by looking at him, you could tell he was heartbroken and furious.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!" he screamed, charging at Dylan. Dylan's eyes were wide. The siren had pinned him against the rock wall of the trench. "You killed my wife. You killed her!!"
"I warned her to stay away from my wife and she didn't! I was defending my wife. I had every right to do that!"
"And people say we're evil while merfolk are beautiful and kind. That's a load of sea snot!"
"You are evil! That's just a fact! As for the second part, I never said we were beautiful and kind. We have our share of bad merfolk. But they get punished for their crimes."
"You punish people who don't do anything wrong. What a surprise!" the siren glared at the merman.
"I never said that!"
"Whatever, murderer."
With that, the siren grabbed Dylan and dragged him to the surface. The other sirens and merfolk saw them and followed quickly. Harmony, Alon, and Raidne followed after them quickly, surfacing just before the sirens and merfolk did. The beach, where the were-creatures were was close by.
"S-stop h-h-hurting him!" Harmony yelled. The siren shot a deadly glare her way.
"Maybe I should take care of you first. Then, I'll make your king suffer. First I'll kill you then his wife right in front of him." Dylan and Harmony's eyes grew wide in fear. The siren grabbed Harmony before Alon could reach her.
"Stop! Get your filthy hands off her!" Alon shouted angrily. One of the sirens had grabbed Alon and his sister and held them back. By this time, Marina and Anahita had made it to the surface.
"Harmony!!" Marina screamed at the sight of her daughter being held tight by the siren.
"Harmony!" Michael exclaimed running to the water. Derrick and Ambrose held him back.
"Bro! You're gonna drown!"
"Let me go! That's my daughter!" Michael struggled to get out of his friends' grasp but failed. He watched helplessly as Alon's father held his little girl with a tight, painful grip.
"You let her go, you pile of sea scum!" Aerwyna yelled.
The siren laughed wickedly. "I don't think so."
He drew back his hand and punched Harmony hard. But, instead of hitting Harmony, he hit a forefield that was surrounding her, protecting her. Harmony's eyes had been squeezed shut, but she slowly opened them, wondering why she hadn't felt any pain yet. She gasped, her eyes going wide. Everyone stared at the mermaid. Even those on land. Her pin was glowing! More than it ever had before. All around her glowed brightly. She closed her eyes as she was lifted into the air and out of the siren's grasp.
"Harmony!" Alon exclaimed, struggling against the siren who, although his bewilderment, still had a tight grip on him. Finally, Harmony was put down into the water.
"Harmony...Your tail!" her sister exclaimed as she opened her eyes. She looked down and gasped. Her tail had silver sparkles all over it! It glistened in the sun however which way it was moved. And, she had a light purple skirt.
