Harmony's POV:
We all enjoyed watching the movies together. But, what I enjoyed most, was the fact that Alon and Raidne were finally comfortable around each other.
Alon and I had a bowel of butter popcorn. Aerwyna and Darnell, was having a little bit of both the drizzled butter popcorn and plain popcorn. Darnell liked plain popcorn and Aerwyna liked the drizzled popcorn. I love how they try a little bit of each other's favorite to make the other happy. They are perfect for each other. They know just how to make each other happy.
I love seeing smiles on people's faces. Especially the faces of my family and friends. And now, Darnell is apart of my family. He's been a really good friend to me. He hasn't bullied me once. The last time he did was the day before mine and Aerwyna's birthday.
That night, I had a terrible nightmare. It's hard to explain. But I woke with a start in a cold sweat. I've had nightmares before, as you all may know. But this, was nothing like those. This one was different. It scared me beyond all comprehension. My heart pounded. Aerwyna stood beside my bed, talking to me, but I wasn't listening. I knew it was time to face my destiny.
Third Person POV:
*Harmony's Nightmare*
Harmony's eyes were wide. She was panting hard. She'd already witnessed her family and friends die right before her eyes. Including, Dawn and Darnell. She'd tried going to Aquatica for help, but she didn't get any. She received looks of hatred instead. Even her aunt and uncle gave her a look of hatred. No one spoke to the young merwolf.
Now, she was swimming as fast as her tail would carry her. She had no idea where she was going, but she knew she had to get there and fast. Harmony had tears in her eyes as she swam. First her pack, then her friends, then her family dies....Now the merfolk hated her. She didn't even know why.
It was pitch black. Darkness everywhere she looked. Even the magic pearls Harmony wore didn't bear much light.
She suddenly gasped and stopped short. Tears rolling down her cheeks, her hands on her mouth in horror. "Alon......." she whispered. There, before her very eyes, was Alon, lying on the sea floor motionless. Blood surrounding him and covering his body. She swam over to him quickly and held him. His eyes were closed. He wasn't breathing. "ALON!!!!" she screamed at the top on her lungs, tears pouring down her cheeks. Poor Harmony had not only lost her pack, family, and friends, but now, she had lost her mate. The love of her life. Her best friend. The other half of her heart...
Aerwyna's POV:
I was woken up by Harmony screaming and crying. She sounded so heart broken. I jumped out of my bed and hurried over to her. "Harmony, wake up!" Harmony shot up with a gasp, sweat all over her face. "Harmony, what happened...?" I asked gently. She didn't answer me. She panted heavily, her eyes wide. Finally she looked at me. She had a dead serious look on her face. She'd stopped panting. I've never seen my little sister this serious before in my life. Honestly giving me the creeps.
"It's time." she said in a dead serious tone.
"For what?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow. Then, it hit me. Oh, shark bite...
Third Person POV:
It was finally time. The sirens were on their way. Our friends didn't even have much time to get the merfolk's help. Harmony took charge of the entire thing. She had Ambrose and his family, and Derrick and his family wake every family in the pack and let them know it was time for battle.
The pack would fight on land. Marina, Harmony, Aerwyna, Raidne, and Alon would fight from the water. In a war, the front of the battle is the most dangerous. Well, this was the most dangerous. This was the front.
Aerwyna was the fastest swimmer, so she went to get the merfolk.
The group was small. All odds seemed to be against them. Harmony never let her fears show. She was determined, strong, and brave. Alon was proud of her. Of how she rose to the challenge.
It was a scary time for everyone. Especially the mates of those in the water. Michael, Jack, Darnell, Harmony, and Alon. The families of those in the water were afraid for them. Ambrose, Leah, and Delia, for Jack. Michael and Earwyn for Marina, Aerwyna, and Harmony. Harmony, Aerwyna, and Marina were scared for each other and their loved ones on land. Alon and Raidne were scared for each other too.
Finally, it became dark all around them. Harmony's pearls shone brightly, however, so they could see what was happening. Sirens were approaching. They were singing. How, you ask, were they not affected by their singing? They all had earplugs. Including those on land. The sirens stopped in front of the small group of four. Aerwyna had not yet returned with the merfolk.
They were outnumbered. Extremely outnumbered. Alon's parents were at the very front, leading the sirens. The looked at their children with anger and shock.
"Alon, Raidne, what happened to your tails?!" his mother exclaimed.
"Forget that, Delaney! They are fighting against us!" their father scowled angrily. "How could you betray us like that, Raidne?!"
"How could you lie to me all those years?" Raidne asked bluntly, showing no emotion. Her parents and the other sirens were taken aback.
"What do you mean, Raidne? We never lied to you." her mother spoke.
"Really? Well, I found out that you did. The Great Oracle of the Sea told me. She told me I was adopted. I am not a siren. I am a mermaid. I am the mate of Jack, the future Gamma. I found out who I really am during my time on land. I found out that my life has been a lie up till now. And if you are gonna ask if I'm really going to fight against my own parents, then yes. Without hesitation. For my mate, for my brother, for my new, and true friends, and for myself." Raidne glared at them. They glared back at her in fury.
"Well then, let the games begin." The girl's father, Calder, laughed evily.
