Third Person POV:
The battle was long and hard. Aerwyna had finally joined the fighting and was doing well. Because Alon was part mermaid, his voice never faded. The sirens, however, had to rest their voices and fight without their power. You may think, "Great! This puts them at a disadvantage and our friends are free!" right? Well, you're half right. It did put them at a disadvantage in a way. However, the sirens were good fighters. They were hard to beat. But, we need to remember, the job wasn't to beat them. It was to bring peace.
Indeed, Dylan had been given a lot to think about. He was unable to concentrate on anything except what Aerwyna and the oracle had said.
"Honey, are you alright?" his wife, Anahita asked finally, swimming up to him.
"I'm ok, Ana..."
"I know you better than that, Dylan. I'm your wife. I know when something is on your mind." she stated.
Dylan smiled at her before sighing and telling her everything. Anahita listened in shock. "I don't know what to do....It is my duty to protect this kingdom. But....it's also my duty to protect my family..."
"Oh, Dylan...I understand what you mean. Part of the reason you don't want to is you're afraid, right?" the king nodded, looking up at his wife. "If you want my opinion, honey, I think they're right. It makes sense that if they won the battle, they'd come after us." The merqueen put her hand on her stomach and looked down.
Dylan sighed. "That would put you, our child, and the kingdom in danger." Anahita nodded.
"I know you want to protect us. But, Dylan, the only way it sounds like you would be protecting us, is by facing the sirens and fighting."
Dylan shook his head and sighed, looking up at her. "You are very smart." Anahita laughed. "I love you, Ana."
"I love you too, Dylan." The two shared a loving kiss before Dylan called for the captain of the guard.
Our friends were fading fast. Their strength dwindling. The sirens were so much stronger and there were so many of them. All hope seemed lost.
"I have to keep going...To bring peace, I need the merfolk to be here." Harmony thought.
"You're right, Harmony. We need to keep going. I'm doing my best to give you all the energy we can spare. But I can't do much else underwater." her wolf, Sierra told her.
"It's alright. I'm grateful for what you are doing." Harmony replied.
Meanwhile, with our friends up on land...
This will shock you. Some of the sirens, had somehow made it up on land and had legs! The were-creatures were shocked, but fought as best they could. It was hard, but they were strong. Each was wearing their own set of earplugs to protect them from the siren's voice. No one could understand how the sirens had legs. No one knew how those under the water were doing. And those under the water didn't know what was going on on the surface, either.
Our friends under the water were finally on the verge of being beaten. Harmony was really upset. She felt like she failed. The sirens were just beating up on them like they were nothing. Suddenly, however, just as Alon's father was about to deliver a powerful blow to Harmony, he was slapped back with the tail of a merman. But it wasn't Alon. Harmony and her family looked up and gasped, their eyes wide. They were surrounded by merfolk! Dylan himself had saved Harmony from the powerful blow.
She smiled. "There's still time, Sierra!" Sierra yipped happily in response.
With their newfound hope and strength, Harmony, Aerwyna, Marina, Alon, and Raidne continued to fight hard against the sirens. They fought against every siren.....Except one. Alon's mother was nowhere to be seen. No one thought much of it though. They were too busy to pay much attention to the fact there was one siren missing.
