"Well... You see, we've been travelling around for quite some time now. Just recently we came into town, but we were jumped by this band of... Misfits. So, in order to escape and heal, we came here for shelter. Again, we apologise for the mess we made." James explained.
"It's fine, I guess. So, you're all better now, right?" Mika asked.
"Yup! All thanks to you and Phoenix!" Matthew chimed. Mika and I looked up, confused. Erik elaborated, addressing Mika.
"You see, beautiful, we feed on sexual energy, but we don't just get it from kissing lovely ladies such as yourself. We can simply touch someone's hand to obtain sexual energy. Everyone carries sexual energy, you know."
"Even someone that's asexual?" I chimed in. Erik smiled at me.
"Yes. Even someone who isn't fond of the idea of sex carries sexual energy. Why do you ask?"
"I was curious. I'm pretty sure I'm asexual, but Sam took my energy earlier, so I wasn't sure if my supposed asexuality was just caused by a lack of connection with a person or if I am fully asexual."
"Ah, understandable." Erik conceded.

"Is there anything else you wish to know?" James enquired.
"Well... What do you all plan on doing now?" Mika looked concerned, and I could understand why. From what the guys had told us, they had no permanent home.
"That is a very good question." James sighed. "We just got here and surely we'll be hunted again if we leave."
"We can take 'em. Easily." Sam grunted from beside me.
"Not without more training, Sam." Erik contradicted him. "That was made clear in our last encounter with them." Silence fell as the incubi all pondered their next move. Erik was right, I assumed, given the extent of their injuries when I found them. Mika and I locked eyes with each other, seemingly coming to the same decision. We couldn't exactly chuck them out, now that we knew what was waiting for them out there. Surely, even if nobody was there to help me, it was right that I helped other people where possible.

"You can stay here," I said suddenly. All six other people in the room looked at me, shocked. Apparently, Mika had still been debating the pros and cons. None of the incubi spoke. They were all staring at me with varying degrees of surprise on their faces. I continued, suddenly nervous. "I mean... You do need somewhere, right? This house is bloody massive; I'm pretty sure there are more than enough bedrooms upstairs for all of us, and the garden is almost definitely big enough for... Whatever training demons do. It just seems like the logical decision." Still, nobody spoke. Their surprise appeared to be melting into gratitude, so I kept talking. "Obviously, there'll be a couple of ground rules. First and foremost: No using your powers in any way that'll hurt me or Mika or any guests we happen to have. You're welcome to use your powers if you're attacked for some reason, but other than that, don't. Secondly: help around the house would definitely be appreciated. This house is huge and it'll be so much easier to take care of if all of us work to keep it tidy."

"That is a very generous offer, Mx," James said slowly. He looked at Mika, then back to me. "Are you sure you are both okay with this? We don't wish to burden you any more than we already have." Mika nodded in agreement with me.
"I don't see why it would be an issue," She replied.
"Are you all serious?!" Sam, who had apparently been silently simmering next to me, suddenly shouted. There were still hints of red in his cheeks from the jibe Mika had made at us earlier, which was no doubt part of the reason he was so pent up. Matthew hushed him.
"Shh, be quiet, Sam! We haven't slept in beds for days!" I couldn't help but chuckle at the brothers. I didn't know why Sam was so opposed to the idea of staying here, but I had no doubt he'd back down if his brothers were on board. I was right.
"Gahh... Fine. But we're not staying here forever. Only until we can beat up that group of punks."
"I think that is a reasonable time limit for our stay." James agreed.
"Yes!! This is awesome!" Matthew exclaimed gleefully. "What are we waiting for? Let's celebrate and dig in!" Sam's face lit up at the fact he could finally eat.

"Finally! I'm starving!" He and Matthew proceeded to help themselves to food and eat quickly, causing James' eye to twitch in irritation. Clearly, he was a stickler for etiquette.
"Really, you two? You're both acting like pigs." Sam sent him a deadpan look but didn't bother to grace James' words with a response. Damien began helping himself to food and Erik chuckled at James.
"Oh, let them have a little freedom, James. It's not like we've eaten recently either. I'm sure they've been starving." James frowned.
"Still, that's no excuse for stuffing their faces like backyard swine." When nobody responded, James gave up and sat back.
