I stared at the woman who'd spoken, frozen in both fear and confusion. She was a succubus, no doubt, with purple taint and horns on her body. It was her face that shocked me. I'd know those fiery red irises anywhere.
"Diana?!" I sputtered. The succubus stiffened at the sound of the name. It was definitely her. Everyone else in the room stared between me and the woman who'd tried to take the boys from me, all of them looking exceedingly confused. The bulky man on the far left was regarding me with a look that said he was sizing me up. He had red skin and horns protruding from his head, one of them broken. The other male was lanky and dark, with flowing black hair and a cold expression. The woman dressed in blue had rabbit ears as opposed to horns and was hugging some form of staff to her body. She was regarding me curiously but warily. The last one I didn't recognise seemed to be some kind of fairy. Contrasting completely to everyone else in the room, they were floating up and down, staring at me excitedly as if they'd never seen a human before. To be fair, they probably hadn't. Which answered my next question. There was no way I was still in the human world.
My attention stayed on the pale purple succubus in front of me, who stared back with just as much surprise on her face. She was probably expecting to never have to see me again, either.
"What... What are you doing here...?" She asked me again. I found my words and a bit of courage to speak up.
"Not gonna lie, I don't fucking know." Diana simply gazed at me. Before she could open her mouth to question me further, a figure walked hurriedly into the room and knelt before Diana."My lady, please forgive me. I felt something moving between our worlds and assumed the Demon Lord was to blame, so I intercepted his summoning of this human." I stared at the man beside me, letting his words sink in.
"Wait, the Demon Lord summoned me?" I asked. Diana frowned.
"So I wasn't the only one who felt the change in the air..." She pursed her lips and looked back at me. I stared back, more confused than ever. Nobody answered my question. I was beyond lost and felt my body begin to shake in fear. I closed my eyes, trying to make sense of it all. I was about to be married. I had been waiting for my signal to walk down the aisle towards the man I love when I heard someone speaking Latin that I didn't understand and then I was pulled against my will into a fucking pentagram.I opened my eyes to see everyone in the room staring at me, Diana looking mildly irritated.
"What?" I asked. Diana groaned.
"What happened to you?" She asked. I got the feeling she'd asked me that already and I laughed sheepishly.
"Oh, sorry..." I recounted what happened and she turned to glare at the lanky male.
"One of yours couldn't have-" the male cut her off.
"On my honour, it wasn't any of mine. We have nothing to gain from kidnapping a human, nor do we know who this person is anyhow." He replied.
"My lady, if I may, I clearly remember hearing imp demons in the void along with them. It must have been the Demon Lord's henchmen." The person kneeling to Diana stood quickly, gripping his spear. Diana growled.
"Those damnable creatures. That explains it...""Okay, can someone please tell me what the fuck is going on?!" I snapped. The room fell silent and the red-skinned demon smirked slightly. Diana stared at me before sighing.
"Well, dear, it seems that you were to be either a new addition to the Demon Lord's harem, or bait for the boys to return to their father's side. Either way, I doubt you would have lived long had the Demon Lord gotten his hands on you." I stared back, feeling relief washing over my body.
"Wait a minute. This human knows about the Demon Lord's heirs?" The horned male asked. Diana nodded.
"Yes. Hilariously enough, they were set to marry one of them, as you can see from their garb. The brute, I believe?" I suddenly remembered that I was in my wedding dress and blushed, suddenly self-conscious."Well, since you do not belong here, the obvious thing to do is to send you home," Diana said. My eyes widened.
"You can do that?" I asked. Diana nodded, a small smile gracing her features.
"Indeed I can. It should be easy to do once everything is in order. It will be like you never left the human world." I felt the urge to hug Diana, which was a very strange sensation, given what she'd done to me in the past.
"How will you power the spell?" The woman with rabbit ears asked. "Bringing someone here is no easy task, but sending someone back consumes much more energy."
"I'll use what energy I have now and rest. We can organise the siege another time when I recover. It's not like the Demon Lord can escape the corner we've trapped him in, so we have some time to spare."
