Without another word, Sam gently pulled my head towards his and his lips met mine. The feeling of draining energy reappeared, but it didn't scare me like it did last time. Instead, I welcomed it, and with it came a feeling of undeniable affection. I felt like the living embodiment of what I saw in Sam's eyes every time he looked at me. I was way past the point of no returns now. I had feelings for Sam. Strong, intoxicating feelings which overwhelmed my mind and stopped me from thinking straight. As scared as I might've been that he'd leave, it was impossible for me to pull myself away.

Slowly, Sam began to lean back so that I was laying on top of him. I rested my hands on his chest as his fingers lightly stroked my hair. There was a feeling flaring in my heart, too strong to be simple affection. I had no idea what it was but I had no problem with taking the feeling and running with it. Too soon, Sam gently pushed me away as the hold of the enthrallment began to slowly fade. Both of us were panting. I'd never kissed anyone before, so I had no idea if he was enjoying this as much as I was. My eyes remained closed until a hand placed itself on my cheek. instinctively, I nestled into it and locked eyes with the emerald irises of the incubus below me. Well, I knew the answer to my question. His eyes said it all: he wanted more. I was burning with desire and had no good reason to deny him what he wanted.

I bit my lower lip gently and apparently, that was the only signal he needed. He pulled me back down to him and kissed me again, but soon enough his lips began to trail downwards. One hand slid up my back and the other held my neck steady as he began to ravish it with kisses. I couldn't help but lean my head back and sigh in utter pleasure. The feeling of energy draining had reappeared, but I had a feeling I'd be encountering the feeling a lot more than just that afternoon. I could tell a part of him wanted to move his kisses even further down, and his respectful restraint was making me almost want to let him. But before I could even begin to entertain the idea, a feeling of lightheadedness began to replace the passion flooding my body. Unsure of what to do, I gently squeezed his shoulders, trying to signal him to stop. I passed out just as he pulled away from me.

I awoke back in my room, bleary-eyed and feeling absolutely wrecked from the energy drain. I could feel my lips pulsing slightly as they recovered from the most interaction they'd ever had. I didn't mind it, though. It was the only proof I had that I hadn't completely imagined what happened with Sam. Yawning, I sent a glance at my alarm clock and groaned. 07:34pm. I'd been out for hours and was somehow still tired. Then I frowned. Next to my alarm clock was a little slip of paper that hadn't been there before. I picked it up and had to focus my eyes firmly to read the almost illegible handwriting.
"Sorry. I went a little too far."

A knock on my door startled me out of my thoughts.
"Y-Yeah?" The door opened slowly and I looked up to see Matthew poking his head into the room.
"Oh, good! I wasn't sure if you were awake, Sam told us you went back to bed after lunch. Said you were still processing what happened yesterday with Malix. I hope you're okay now!" I almost laughed. Clearly, Sam didn't want to tell his brothers what we'd done up on the roof.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Did you want something?"
"Right! There's food downstairs for you and Mika. We have to keep training, but I thought it'd be nice for us to make dinner seeing as you've both been through a lot recently.
"Thanks, that's really nice. I'll be down in a minute." Matthew grinned cheerfully at me and closed the door. I didn't quite understand how he could be so carefree, but it was refreshing. It was a nice change from the usual doom-and-gloom that my life had become. But... I glanced back at the note Sam had left me, letting a small smile spread across my lips. Maybe things were starting to take a turn for the better. I refused to let my hopes get too high, but still.

I ate the delicious dinner the incubi had made with Mika, neither of us talking much. Occasionally, one of the boys would pop in for something or other. Grabbing a drink or turning the garden's lights on, things like that. I sensed Sam's presence the second he walked in and I caught his eye, but given that Mika was in the room, he didn't say anything. Instead, he sent me a wink and a shy but flirty smile that turned my cheeks bright red. He smirked at the reaction he'd caused and left without a word. Mika frowned at the colour of my face and then accused me of crushing on Damien, who was apparently who she thought had just been in the room. She looked as shattered as I felt, to be fair, so I laughed it off and told her to go back to bed. I retired to my own room soon enough, yawning widely. I curled up on my bed. burrowing myself under the blanket. I had no idea what would happen during the next day, but for the first time ever, I wasn't dreading it. Oh, how mistaken I was.
