I was now staring at Y/N as the doctors operate on her. I heard the door open but I didn't bother to look back since I'm scared that if I look away from Y/N, she'll be gone.
"What happened Natasha?" I heard Steve's voice beside me making me give him a quick glance but then look back at Y/N.

"Her father shot her." I said making Steve whip his head towards me. "It wasn't her father." I heard Fury's voice making me look back and notice that the other avengers, Maria, and Fury were also in the room. I turned towards him and furrowed my eyebrows.
I was about to ask something when the door opened and Y/N's team quickly came in and looked over at her in surgery.
"Oh my god." Ria said then put her hands over her mouth. "Nat, what happened?" Jack asked as he looked over at me.
"He shot her." I said and looked down as I remember the moment that she was on the ground with blood over her.
"I understand his father is angry at her but they already disowned her. Why would he shoot her?" Toby asked making me look up with wide eyes. He noticed my reaction and started looking uncomfortable probably because he said something he shouldn't have.
"It wasn't her father. The man's name was Randell Myers." Fury said making everyone look back at him. "Wait. What do you mean by her parents disowning her?" Wanda asked what I wanted to ask Toby.
"I-uh. It's really not my place to say." Toby said uncomfortably and I glare at him. "Stop, Romanoff. This is something you just have to let go of." Maria said making me direct my anger towards her.
"No! What are all of you hiding from me, from us? Tell me now!" I said angrily but Fury remained unfazed while Maria looked down.
"This is not the right place and time Natasha." Fury said but I wasn't backing down. "No! Tell me why that man told Y/N that he needed to avenge someone!" I yell and Fury sighed.
"I'd also like to know Fury." Steve said as he stood beside me and faced Fury. "Me too." Sam added and so did the rest of the avengers making Fury sigh.
"Alright. But at least sit down before I tell you." Fury said making me relax. "Fury! That is not for you to share." Gisele said angrily.
"Agent Yashar, I'm sure you'd like to know too if you were in their position." Maria said and Gisele stayed silent as we sat down on the couch inside the viewing room.
Fury then faced all of us while Maria was doing something on her tablet.
"Before everything Y/N was a detective and was a natural at reading people. One day she had to interrogate this guy." Fury said and Maria showed a picture of a familiar man.
"This man was suspected to be the notorious serial killer, The Face Stealer." Maria said and Wanda looked confused while the rest of us were taken back.
