Y/n's POV

"I apologize for coming late. I was at the hospital." I said as everyone was now seated in the lounge area. "To start I would advise all of you not to sign the Accords."

"117 countries want to sign this." Rhodes said but I remain unfazed. "There are massive legal issues with the Sokovia Accords." I pointed out. "Oh. This will clear it up." Sam said

"First, an accord is not a law, treaty, or constitutional amendment. Second, no country especially the United States can enact a law to willfully violate the rights of the citizens. That would be Unconstitutional. " I said honestly since Maria with the help of Riley already gave me a copy. I already tried to read all of it as I was on my way back to the compound.

"That doesn't change the fact that 117 countries are all in agreement about it." Rhodes said and i nod. "You're right. But just because 117 countries are in an agreement doesn't make it a law."

"And even if it becomes a law, the United States cannot purposefully enact an Unconstitutional law." I said since I know a thing or two about laws since I needed the knowledge when I was an officer and an agent back then.

"The Sokovia Accords appear to have elements of conscription if not outright impressment, with punishments ranging from internment to imprisonment without the Writ of Habeas Corpus." I said which made Rhodey quiet.

"I agree with her. It's all written here." Vision said after he finished reading the accords which only took him a few minutes to scan it.

"None of these legal safeguards on super-hero activity included any form of Due Process. The only way this international agreement could be worse is to throw in elements from the Indian Removal Act." I said as I looked at all of them.

"Tony. You are being uncharacteristically non-hyperverbal." Natasha said making everyone look over at him.

"It's because he already made up his mind." Steve commented as I let them have their discussion. "Boy, you know me so well." Tony said as he got up from his chair

"Actually, I'm nursing an electromagnetic headache. That's what's going on, Cap. It's just pain. It's discomfort." Tony continued as he walks away

I then saw him place a device down. "Oh, that's Charles Spencer, by the way." He said as he continue to pour himself coffee.

"He's a great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA. Had a floor-level gig at Intel planned for the fall. But first, he wanted to put a few miles on his soul. before he parked it behind a desk. See the world. Maybe be of service." Tony started rambling as we all listened.

"Charlie didn't want to go to Vegas or Fort Lauderdale, which is what I would do. He didn't go to Paris or Amsterdam, which sounds fun. He decided to spend his summer building sustainable housing for the poor. Guess where: Sokovia." He said and i glanced at Wanda who looked down with clear guilt and embarrassment written on her face.

I sigh as I get what he's trying to say. I can also see the guilt in his expressions, they were all too clear for me to read. "He wanted to make a difference, I suppose. We won't know because we dropped a building on him while we were kicking ass." He said and i speak up to break the silence.

"I understand where you're coming from Tony but signing this accord will not bring anything good and it certainly wouldn't help the case of Charles Spencer." I argued back

"If we can't accept limitations, if we're boundary-less, we're no better than the bad guys." He said and faced me. "You're wrong. Do you know why you guys are better than the bad guys?" I asked as they all look over between me and Tony.
