The Truth and The Lie

Chapter 31

I was back at my house when I saw a trail of blood on the floor. I began to panic and quickly follow it. When I reached my sister's room I break down as I see her lifeless body on her bed and she was missing her face.

I quickly ran to her and held her hand as I sob. "No! Please be alive! Please don't leave me!" I yell at her as I try to shake her awake.

I was taken aback when she held my arm with her other hand and looked at me. "It's your fault!" She yelled then she suddenly shot me.

I suddenly jolt up because of the sound of the gun and opened my eyes but immediately closed them again since I was blinded by the light.

I kept hearing voices and felt someone touch my shoulders. I start to panic and try to get them off but my body felt so weak to the point that I can't lift it.

I try to force my eyes to open and saw many faces that were a bit blurry. They kept talking to me but my brain just couldn't comprehend what they were saying.

I tried asking what they were talking about but I realized I had a tube in my mouth so I can't really speak.

Panic starts to rise again and I try to remove the tube but only to be stopped as the people around me held my arms still.

"Y/N stop!" I heard the voices warn me but I was still in a state of paranoia as I can't identify them and I managed to fight them off.

With all my might I unclipped the tube and tried to move away from the people. But the next thing I knew is that I was falling then I felt my headache as I pass out.

I was now back in the facility and my eyes widen as I saw the lifeless bodies of agents just littered around. I run and look for my team and saw them dead beside the avengers.

I start to cry again and I was about to wipe my tears when I realized I was holding a gun in my right hand and my hands and clothes were all bloodied up.

"You did this." They all said in unison as they all opened their eyes and looked at me which scared me.

I backed away but was stopped when I felt that I hit someone. I looked back and I saw a familiar man behind me.

I was about to say something when he shot me in the chest making me jolt and waking me up again.

This time I was breathing hard as I blinked a few times to check my surroundings. When my eyes finally adjusted I can finally recognize the people in the room.

Doctor Cho, Nick, Maria, my team, Wanda, and Natasha who was beside me. I was about to ask them what was happening when I realized that the tube was still in my mouth.

I was about to remove it when I noticed that my hands were strapped in.

"Y/N, calm down. The tube is helping you breathe." The doctor said and I could only look at her since it was physically exhausting for me to move.

I tried to force myself to move but it felt like my body wasn't responding to my brain.

What happened? Why am I here? Why can't I move or talk?

"I can hear her thoughts. She's scared, paranoid, and confused." Wanda said making me including everyone to look at her.

Wanda then approached me and did something which made me calm down a bit.

"What is she thinking?" Natasha asked as she was beside my bed and was holding my hand.

"She's asking what happened, why she's here and why she can't move or talk." Wanda said and I relaxed since at least I could communicate.
