Angela slid into the seat next to me during lunch in slight distress.

"Did you hear?" she asked. "Did you hear what Lauren is saying?"

I had been discussing Trifles with Mike, Lauren and Jessica as it was a play that was going to be discussed in our English finals. I could only assume what she meant by have you heard.

"I was with Ben in the ER yesterday - nothing bad, but he was fixing something in his car and got a bad cut - and we saw Dr. Carlisle Cullen!" she exclaimed. "He's back. I wonder if the entire family is here."

"We haven't seen any of them today," Jessica's mouth was agaped from shock. "Bella, do you know something?"

"Alice visited me during Spring break," I admitted. There was no point in lying about that. "It was more of a surprise. She heard that my dad's friend died and wanted to check up on me."

"Oh goodness, how is he holding up?"

"The funeral was yesterday, but it was fine. I ended up visiting California for a few days," I pointed to the burn patch on my neck. "I swear, I don't know how I survived living in Arizona all these years."

"You're Forks-born, Bella. The sun will hate you as much as they hate vampires," Mike faked some claws. I knew it was a joke, but it still made me nervous. "Mwahaha."

"And did that like, convince them to come back here? Did you see Edward?" Lauren closed in on me, the curiosity in her eyes ready to kill her. "Was there a reunion?"

"One where I nearly yelled at him? Sure."

"So technically if he came back..." Jessica trailed. "You don't have dibs?"

"Why would Bella have dibs?" Jungkook took the free seat next to me. "She's with me."

"You never know," Lauren shrugged. "Love is weird... and it took her a long time to get over him."

Underneath the table, I felt Jungkook's hand clench into a fist. I took it into my lap, soothing it into an open palm.

"Objection, your honor. Hearsay," Mike chipped in. "We shall not discuss the love lives of our friends unless they want to - right, Bella?"

For once I was glad that Mike opened his mouth and nodded. "Besides, Lauren. What makes you think you have a chance when he wasn't interested before?"

"I'll try!"

"Can we please go back to Trifles because I don't want to fail this exam," Jessica tapped a finger on the table.

Jungkook excused himself from the table even though he had just sat down. I made the decision to follow him knowing that he was clearly upset. He never visibly expressed it, but I saw the furrowed brows and the pout. I had been too stressed yesterday to even talk about what happened during Spring Break.

"You forgot your banana milk," I sat right next to him on the bench outside far enough so no one could hear us.

"I didn't forget it; I knew you would bring it to me."

"What's wrong?"

Jungkook pursed his lips. "It's just all the Edward talk. You were in the car with him yesterday, right?"

"Yes," I admitted. "And I went to Italy to save him from his dumb-assary."
"That I found out," Jungkook crossed his arms. "Do you know what it's like to get a message saying that you were off saving your ex-boyfriend from suicide, then finding out he is coming back and possibly everyone will look to us..."

"I told him to back off," I said softly. "And besides they're back to deal with Victoria, that's all. It was their problem in the first place. I'm not going to run back to him just because he's back."
