Aadhitha Karikalan sat regally on a lounge-bed. His face always had a shadow of guilt.

"I beg you, please spare him!"

That voice sent shivers down his spine. That face haunted him in every dream. He hadn't slept properly for a long time. Guilt. It slowly kills a person while they're alive.

He stared at the moon. Her beautiful face smiled down at him. Karikalan sighed.

"Nandhini...oh Nandhini! How can I ever face you again? My conscience is killing me! Forgive me, or kill me with your own hands!" He said looking at the moon.

About an hour back he shared his love story to Parthibendran. His eyes became watery. He didn't want the crown or the vast Chozha kingdom. All he wanted was Nandhini's forgiveness.

Memories started running fresh in his brain.

"Careful, Nandhini! You might fall down!" Young Aadhithan said as Nandhini descended from the boat.

"Nandhini, do you want some mangos?" He asked.

Nandhini, Nandhini, Nandhini. Almost every sentence he uttered in her presence had this word. He would never feel tired saying her name, that love would always be contained in the way he says it.

Kundavai still looked cross. She held Arulmozhi's hand tightly as they walked behind Aadhithan and Nandhini. Nandhini took leave of them and went off, leaving the three alone.

"Anna, how do you like her? Her face looks like an owl!" Kundavai asked after Nandhini left. "Really? Well, I think she is the prettiest girl in the universe. Have you seen her eyes?" Came the reply. "Enough Anna! Hmph!" Said Kundavai angrily

Arulmozhi Varman was confused, and so he remained silent.

Aadhitha Karikalan runs into the enemy's army and slashes the enemy soldiers with his sword. There is a river of blood. Normally one wouldn't expect a sixteen year old in a blood dried battlefield. But at the end, the Chozhas won. There was great joy and everyone was praising Karikalan. Soon the army departed back to Pazhayarai.

Pazhayarai was in a festive mood. Everyone was praising and blessing Paranthaka Sundara Chozhar and his elder son, Aadhitha Karikalan. As the young prince rode a horse slowly, he looked around to find one person.

And there he found on a balcony, his beloved.
