Aadhitha Karikalan stared at a torch nearby, which blazed merrily.

Today he was going to meet her after 3 years, in private.

Her face had haunted him, didn't let him sleep, flung him into a pit of despair and regret.

And today, it was all going to end.

Either she should stab him with those flower like hands or he should kill her, to put an end to this misery.

Anyhow, the crown prince stepped out of the room. There was no one in the corridor. The evening breeze was was much colder than usual. The prince hummed a Paasuram, a one Nandhini would sing often all those years back.

Kanda Maaran joined him on the way and they both made their way towards Nandhini's anthapuram.

All too soon, they reached. Kandan decided to stay back at the entrance.

For some reason, Karikalan expected to see a teenage Nandhini, the Archagar Veetu Pen. Instead he saw the Pazhuvoor queen dressed in lavish silk and robes.

And she had a sword with a fish-hilt lying at her feet, its tip having a little bit of blood.

Both of them forgot their surroundings as they faced each other. Their eyes were full of sorrow as the bitter memories of their past ran afresh in their hearts.

He walked nearer to her and smiled.

His Kanmani was here with him.
