A special school picnic was to be held tomorrow afternoon. For this reason, each of their homes was to prepare a few dishes and sweets as a snack. These were the last, warm days, so the whole thing was to take place outside, near the castle. Fall is coming soon, then winter and Christmas. What will they bring this year?

Katie, along with the other Marauders, Lily and the rest of the Gryffindors, was in the kitchen. It's time for them to prepare their treats.

"Slytherin had a line ahead of us." Evans sighed. "First we need to clean up a bit here." She looked around the dirty kitchen.

Everyone agreed that she was right and after a few moments the cleaning started, and when it was relatively clean, everyone started to perform their assigned tasks. Well, maybe almost everyone, because the Marauders were hard to get to work. Remus relented the fastest and went to help Lily bake cakes. Another one was Peter who had been dragged into making salads. McAllister didn't feel like cooking or baking, but this time, unfortunately, she didn't manage to escape and was supposed to bake cupcakes. Sirius was to accompany her, and it didn't bode well. Oh no.

"Do you even know how to make it?" Black put the bowl on the table.

"I know. It would be worse with another treat, but my grandma taught me how to bake muffins, so I think we'll be able to deal with it." She looked significantly at Padfoot.

"What is that look?" Boy laughed.

"Well, I know what you're capable of." Said, then added the right amount of eggs and flour to the bowl.

"Baby... "Black approached her. "You don't know exactly what I'm capable of yet." He whispered in her ear and then kissed her neck and the other woman gave him a hit in the ear.

"You better get to work." She shook her finger at him. "Give me that baking powder." Pointed.

"I don't want to do this all snacks." Sighed and handed her the mentioned supplement.

"You think I want?" Girl looked at him and opened the package, from which it shot a powder on her face. Black, seeing her, began to laugh. "Not a word..." She shook her finger at him again.

"Eh, I'd love to do all of this if it were to be part of a joke." Said resignedly. Katie looked at him curiously. "What?" He looked at her, at which the brunette smirked.

After a long time, most of the dishes and other delicacies were ready. McAllister took off her apron and put it back in place, then looked proudly at the finished cupcakes.

"Why did you group them?" Padfoot went to the Gryff Girl. "Various flavours? I was standing next to you, and I don't even know what you added to it." He said and put his hands on his hips.

"Well, the ones on the left are going on a picnic." Brunette pointed.

"And the ones on the right?" Boy asked.

"They'll be useful for later." McAllister looked proudly at her friend. "Guess for what." Smirked.

Sirius later caught what his companion meant.

"What happens after you eat them?" Grinned broadly and followed McAllister. They passed Potter and went to get more cupkakes wrappers.

Saturday afternoon.

All Hogwarts students, along with the teachers, were already at the picnic site. At the beginning there was a competition for the most delicious dessert. Gryffindor came first, Hufflepuff second, Slytherin third and Ravenclaw fourth. Later, there were several other attractions, such as tug of war, jumping in sacks, hitting the target, etc. And at the very end, a Quidditch match was to be held. Everyone had a great time, it was good to get away from the daily routine.
