Aquarius POV
"GUYS! COME QUICK!"
I heard Sagittarius's yell and instantly straightened up, looking in its direction. Had something happened to him?
Virgo grabbed my arm. "Come on, let's go. They might've found it."
I nodded and we both ran towards the scream. We found ourselves in a clearing, and I gasped when I saw it.
Cancer was kneeling beside half of a pale blue stone unicorn with no horn. There was a slight indent in its side, and Cancer's eyes were filled with tears. Sagittarius was standing on the other side of the clearing, looking at the last unicorn in horror.
"Oh no," Virgo said, a horrified expression on her face that probably mirrored mine.
"What . . happened?" I asked. It was like a giant stone had just crashed down in front of me and crushed all my hopes of getting home.
Sagittarius gestured for us to come over to him, and we did. "Someone must've gotten to it before us," he said hopelessly. I put my arm around him and buried my face in his shoulder.
"What are we going to do now?" I whispered so that only he would hear. He shrugged helplessly.
Just then, Aries crashes through the undergrowth and skidded to a stop in front of Cancer. She was panting. "What -- happened . ." She looked at the unicorn, realization dawning in her eyes. "Oh no. GUYS -- THE UNICORN --"
"Did you find it?" Gemini asked, parting the bushes peacefully with Libra behind her. She saw the unicorn and gasped. "SABOTAGE."
"What?" Leo asked, stumbling in behind the two. He saw the unicorn and also gasped. "CAPRICORN SOMEBODY SABOTAGED US."
Capricorn appeared beside him with a bemused expression on his face. "What --" He spotted the unicorn and his eyes widened. "Oh fuck no."
"Oh fuck yes," Aries said, kneeling down to pat Cancer on the shoulder. The poor guy was still sitting down beside the unicorn.
"How are we going to get home now?" I heard him ask Aries. My heart broke. Cancer had endless optimism. When he was sad, it was a sign that something was definitely wrong.
Aries cleared her throat and yelled, "CANCER IS CRYING, BITCHES!"
It was as if a stampede had run through the forest. Taurus, Scorpio and Pisces burst through the trees, with Taurus instantly running forward and kneeling beside Cancer. He probably didn't even notice the unicorn as he put his arm around the ginger-haired boy, who looked at him gratefully.
Scorpio and Pisces did, though. Pisces gasped and Scorpio widened his eyes. "Who got to it before us?" He sounded angry.
"Aries," Virgo called. "Check."
The girl nodded and felt around the edges of the unicorn. I knew what Virgo was thinking. If this happened recently, then the edges would be sharp, but when Aries brought her hands away, the tips of her fingers were covered with a pale blue dust. She turned to us. "Guys . . this happened a long time ago."
