Leo POV

Unease was swirling in the pit of my stomach as Capricorn and Virgo bounced facts back and forth, trying to figure out where the three missing Zodiacs were.

"We don't even really have any solid information," Virgo argued, straightening her purple-rimmed glasses.

Capricorn pressed a fist against his forehead, trying to think with a worried look in his eyes -- I knew that the disappearance of Aries was affecting him much more than he showed, just like how Aries had acted when he'd fallen unconscious.

It's funny sometimes, how complete opposites can act exactly the same.

"But we do," he countered, folding his arms. "After Sagg accidentally called her --"

"Oh yeah! She said that she was going to the kitchens to see if anybody had seen Taur," Sagittarius chimed in, his eyes filled with worry.

It made me feel even worse. I had figured out by now that Aries had told the others an excuse so they wouldn't get worried, and I felt like my stomach was cramping when Virgo mused, "What if she bumped into someone?"

"Who? Selaine?" Gemini snapped, her nerves on high. "I know Aries. She comes back. She always comes back."

"So does Taurus," Cancer mumbled, chewing on his thumbnail. "And neither have."

Gemini pinched the bridge of her nose. "One day, in freshman year, she went missing for three hours, and it turned out that she had actually just gone out for a run in the gardens." She sent a look at Cancer. "Taurus came back after pigging out in the kitchen, right? Sophomore year movie night on Libra's birthday."

"Libra's birthday," Pisces realized, her eyes wide. "It's coming up, isn't it?" She clapped a hand to her mouth. "Oh no, what if she misses it? Libra had such big dreams for her sweet sixteen --"

"It's going to be fine," Aquarius assured her, biting her nails. "It's gonna be, it's gonna be -- where the hell is Scorpio?"

My stomach turned when she mentioned his name. I knew that everything that was going on was making him extremely uncomfortable -- heck, the guy had survived a serial killer attack by hiding in the FUCKING CLOSET -- and he'd witnessed the doll.

"The doll," I said suddenly. Capricorn and Cancer stiffened. "Maybe it's related to the Soul Stones?"

"The only one who knew about that was Scorpio, and he's not even here," Virgo stiffed, casting a look at the stairway.

"Don't pressure him," Pisces and me pressed at the same time, then looked at each other in surprise.

"Hey, Cap, calm down," Aquarius said suddenly, trying to keep a glass from flying in the air.

Capricorn blinked and sent her a sheepish look. "Sorry. Sometimes it gets out of control." I heard the strain in his voice and narrowed my eyes at him, knowing that he was only staying quiet for a specific reason.
