Kabanata 31
Deal
"You won't believe me, Nanay. But Tatay said that he loves you so much, just like me..."
"Really?" Good for you, then.
"No," masigla pa ring tugon niya. "But that's what Tatay said. He told me to sit down on his lap and then he kissed me, then he said that he loves me and you, Nanay."
"Hmm. I love him too," I smiled. "Gusto mo bang sabihin sa kanya?"
Tumango-tango si Sho.
"Sige. Go and tell him now."
Sandali siyang kumatok d'on.
Yael gave me a confused face right away when our eyes met. His brows furrowed as he tapped his son's shoulders.
"What happened?" Umakto akong hindi ko nakita ang anuman.
"His cheek looks like my cheeks now," he cupped his little face while chuckling. "So cute."
"Just like your cheeks?" I poke his face, blushing.
"Yeah... It turns red so fast."
"You know, Nanay, Tatay told me something too." He added.
"Spill," I said.
"Oh?" His mouth formed an 'o'. "I don't k-know how to spell everything yet..."
I laughed. "Tell me."
"Tatay said that he's planning to leave the dome," nanlalaking-matang aniya. "He said that he's not good. I don't know, but I said that he's a very very good guy and director. Even though he's strict."
"He wants to resign, Nanay..."
"Sabi niya 'yun?"
"Opo." Sho nodded. "He wants to leave his job and find another one. Easier job! Because... he wanted to take care of me. And you, Nanay..."
He don't need to do that.
I can't describe how much he loves his job. He chooses to leave that family and pursue his passion rather than his dreams. It was different. His dreams are definitely different from his passion.
