Two months from now, one of the Grandest celebration in our Kingdom, the House of  the Goldsteins will soon finally come. It is my sixteenth birthday! There will be feast all over the districts to where the king or my greedy father king Dmitri distributes thirty sacks of rice to be equally distributed among the families available per district. I know it is not much but I think it is a way to make the people think that he is generous enough to let not people drool all over the foods and beverages available in my party while they have nothing to eat. I only call him Dmitri when I am talking about him for myself..

Over the decades, our Kingdom is protected and surrounded by a wall that stands 54 ft. tall with only two main gates; the harbor in the east and the big gate at the west.

The people inside the kingdom is not allowed to go out, unless allowed by Dmitri for a special mission  or if they will be sent in the Arena for celebrating the Royal Games.

At the northernmost part of the kingdom is where our castle is built. It slightly elevated because of the landform used as to simply help us buy time if we were attacked from the bottom. A fortress is built from the top of the walls where soldiers climb all the way up for guarding the side and the barracks from below

Inside these walls, we have 32 existing districts each labelled according to the nearest district in our castle to the furthest. Even though the states are all at peace, all kingdoms still train soldiers and commanders every day to become ready in case of war happens.

Someone knocked on the door outside my room and heard Ms. Summer's voice if its okay to come in. "Come in." I said.  Ms. Summer is a very sweet old woman and she is my personal maid but I do not treat her that way, I consider her my best friend and my second mother because she fills in the emptiness inside me longing for a mother.

The queen or rather my birth mother died while giving birth to me so I do not know what does she looks like but the people around always say that I look like her.

She brought me tea and said "Good morning my dear princess, rise and shine! Finish your tea and take a bath while I call Lady Nastasia to give your dress for today." Oh yeah, lady Nastasia is the best! She always keeps surprised for my everyday clothes. She is around twenty years of age but she looks like a teenager with almost the same figure and have the same color of hair like mine.

The tea is getting cold. I should take a bath now.

After taking a bath, lady Nastasia is already inside my room holding my pink and simple but elegant dress and I think it fits me perfectly. As soon as I wear it, she combed my black, smooth and silky hair "How do you like your today's dress?" she said. "I think it is cute. I really like all the fancy clothes you make me wear everyday." I say.

"For me, what ever clothes you wear everyday you are still beautiful and pretty just like your mother." I blushed and kept quiet until she is done grooming me.

I walked down the stairs from my room seeing people that are very busy cleaning and decorating the whole castle. I think this is way too exaggerated compared last year. I took a tour around the castle spoiling myself of what to expect on my sixteenth birthday. I went to the kitchen and asked mr. Milo the head chef if the menu on my birthday is something special and new. "Oh hello there sweetheart you want to know what foods are being prepared on your birthday? That's a secret." Too bad did not get a hint.
