DANNYS POV
"I'm home!" I shout when I walk in the doors of my house. It's only 9:10, I still have plenty of time to make the video.
I sneak past my family in the living room, and into my room where I open my laptop and click on my editing program to finish up the video I'm making to ask Macie to prom. I knew that I would mess up if I asked her in person and I know she likes it when I make her videos.
"Hello, Dominoes pizza, how may I help you?" The worker speaks from the other end of the phone that I just dialed.
"Ya, I wanna order a large pepperoni pizza."
"Alright, anything else?"
"No, that's all."
"For delivery or pickup?"
"Pickup."
"Name?"
"Danny Edge."
"Okay, it'll be ready in about 20 minutes."
"Thanks." I hang up the phone. I've already edited that majority of the video, I just need to add some finishing touches. I plug in some background music and watch over the short video. It's only about 2 minutes, but that's all the time I need to get the message across.
"Where're you going Danny sweetie?" My mom asks when she catches me trying to sneak past the living room and back out the front door.
"I ordered a pizza. I'm going to pick it up."
"Oh, alright. Don't be home too late, tomorrow's a school day."
"I won't. Bye!" I wave and walk out the door, simultaneously shoving my wallet in one pocket and phone in another. I sit in my car and turn the keys in the ignition. The dominoes isn't too far from here, but with the extra while I spent editing and uploading, the pizza should be done by the time I get there.
Quick enough, I pull up in the parking lot and get out of the car. The little bell on the door rings as I walk into the almost empty restaurant, other than the two men and a woman sitting at one of the small tables.
"Uh, for Danny Edge?" I speak as I walk up next to the counter and lean on my hand.
"Large pepperoni?" The teenage worker, probably a year or two younger than me, replies.
"Ya. Thanks." I smile after I pay and he hands me the pizza.
"You have a good night sir."
"You too." I can't help but laugh at the way the kid called me sir. The bell rings again on my way out, and the nervous smile across my face refuses to fade as I pull out a sharpie from my glove box and open the lid of the pizza. "Perfect." I sigh and replace the cap. I pull out my phone and scroll though my contacts to Garrets number.
"Hello?" He sleepily answers.
"What the fuck dude? Are you sleeping?"
"Well I mean, I was trying to before you so rudely interrupted me."
"It's not even past ten."
"Okay, bye!"
"No wait!" I put the phone on speaker so I can better focus on the road and not hitting any pedestrians. "I need your help with something."
"What?"
"Asking Macie to prom."
"Dude no! I'm not gonna ask my sister to prom for you!"
"No, fuck! Not that! I just need you to get her to watch the video I just posted."
"Okay fine. But you owe me. I'm cutting my beauty rest short for this."
