MACIES POV
"Are you ready to leave tomorrow?" Garret asks softly from across the living room. I set the bowl of popcorn beside me and pat the couch for Garret to come sit.
"Not really."
"I mean are you packed?"
"Yes but I'd prefer if I could bring you guys with me."
"It's only a three and a half hour drive, we can still visit each other."
"It's a forty hour drive to Los Angeles." I sigh and look down at my lap. Danny and Paul leave in a few days as well.
"Macie..." Garret whispers and puts his arm around me. "I know you're gonna miss him, but you have to go. You can still text and video chat, it's not like you're never going to see him again."
"But I'm gonna miss him so much." An uninvited tear scrolls down my cheek.
"I know." Garret sets his head on top of mine which is leaning on his shoulder. There's a long train of silence before I wipe my eyes and prepare myself to speak.
"I can't stand the thought of a long distance relationship."
"Macie don't talk like that."
"It's true though! Skyping with someone is one thing, but it's nothing like being able to see them in person. It's such a taunt to know that even though I can see him, I won't be able to actually be with him."
"You guys will work it out. Don't worry. I've never seen you happier with anyone in your entire life. You've been through so much, you can't just give up."
"I-"
"Hey guys!" Danny greets loudly as him, Paul, Teala and Sam walk though the door. He's wearing the dark blue pullover that I love so much because he looks so cute in it.
"I'm gonna miss my best friend so much!" Teala squeals and runs up to hug me. I stand from the couch and wrap my arms around her. She's leaving in a week to Los Angeles as well where she was accepted to a Cosmetology school. I can't believe I'm not going to be able to see her sweet, smiling face in person anymore.
"I'm gonna miss you a lot Macie." Paul smiles when Teala lets go and pulls me in for a hug. I remember when Paul and I had a thing at the beginning of the school year. Lol.
"Macie, it's been so long since I've seen you and when I finally move here you're leaving? What the actual fuck?! Just kidding, but I'm gonna miss you so freaking much!" Sammy jumps up and throws her arms around me.
"I'm gonna miss you guys so much. We have to group Skype like everyday, okay?" I laugh as I detach myself from Sam and she steps back to reveal Danny standing behind her, holding a backpack.
"Can we talk upstairs really quick?" He asks shyly.
"Of course." I smile and go over to him. "Be right back." I turn around and tell the others.
We walk together in silence up the stairs and down the hall into room.
"It looks so empty in here without all your shit laying everywhere." Danny smirks and sits on the bed. The apartment comes fully furnished so I don't have to worry about bringing my bed or dressers.
"My room wasn't even that bad!" I defend and sit next to him.
"When I was helping you pack, I literally found like four sets of keys."
"That's because I thought I lost them so I had them remade."
"No, it's because your room was so messy you couldn't find shit."
