DANNYS POV

The three short words that I've been dying to hear for the past months finally slip out of Macies mouth. Three syllables that complete the puzzle.

"Do you mean it?" I whisper without thinking. Honestly I'm a little worried that she might still be a little iffy. She thinks for a few seconds before nodding her head.

"I do."

"How do I know that you don't have feelings for Alex?"

"You have to trust me when I say I don't."

"Okay." I speak at a barely audible volume. We both remain silent, taking in the moment. "Macie?"

"Yeah?"

"You know that I would never hurt you on purpose, right?"

"I know."

"And you know that you mean the world to me?"

"Yes."

"You know that I would die for you?"

"You sound like a Bruno Mars song." She giggles and I can't help the smile that she brings to my face.

"Macie, I love you more than anything in this entire world. Even more than pizza."

"Wow, that's a lot." She laughs again, melting my heart.

"The time we spent apart were some of the worst months of my life. I never want to have to live without you again. Macie Taylor, will you- What the hell?" A loud clap of thunder booms from above and rain immediately starts to pour from the sky.

"Did no one check the weather before we made plans?!" Macie laughs and stands up, offering me her hand.

"I guess not!" I shout back over the beating sound of the rain.

"Let's go find something to stand under, we're gonna get soaked!" She squeals and starts running. I follow behind, allowing her to lead the way as I clasp onto her hand. Eventually we turn into the doorway of a large brick building with a 'For Lease' sign sitting in the window.

MACIES POV

"Macie Taylor, will you- What the hell?" Danny cuts off his words when Niagara Falls cascades from the clouds.

"Did no one check the weather before we made plans?!" I stand up and give Danny my hand to grab.

"I guess not!"

"Let's go find something to stand under, we're gonna get soaked!" I pull him with me and run until heading under the sheltered doorway of an empty building. I start to squeeze the water out of my hair before I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket. "Hello?"

"Hey Macie! Are you guys okay? We didn't realize it was going to storm." Garret speaks from the other end.

"Yeah we're fine. We're standing in some doorway right now. We'll head back when the rain lightens up." Danny moves closer and slowly wraps his arms around my waist, kissing my jaw. I close my eyes and place my free arm around his neck.
