MACIES POV

"MACIE, HURRY UP! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!" Garret shouts from downstairs.

"I'M COMING!" I yell back and briefly glance at the mirror. The long, black robe loosely hanging around me matches the grad hat propped on top of my head, where long curls fall out and around my shoulders. I quickly dive out of my room and down the stairs to see Garret standing by the front door with the car keys.

"You ready to graduate?"

"Eh."

"Lol, you probably won't. You're dumb as shit."

"Shut up Garret." I laugh and walked passed him. He unlocks the car and I sit in the passenger seat.

"I literally look like an oversized penguin." Garret sits down and gestures towards his black robe.

"That's better than your usual look, which is just plain ugly."

"Shut up Macie." My brother mocks me and starts the car. We drive off towards the school and arrive shortly, stopping in the student parking lot.

"Let's do this." I let out a sigh and link arms with my brother. We march forward to go join our fellow graduates in the celebration of finally getting out of the hell hole known as public school.

...

"Congratulations class of 2015!" The principle speaks into the microphone and backs up, clapping his hands together. We all stand up and hug one another, until filing off the stage and into the crowd.

"MACIE! GARRET!" Tyler runs towards us with open arms and a huge smile strung across his face. I jump into the hug and giggle as he spins me around and sets me back down.

"Hey Tyler." Garret smiles.

"Okay ya, Garret I know you're a 'dude' and you're supposed to be 'manly' and shit, but give me a fucking hug." I laugh as Tyler pulls Garret in to a hug and messes up his hair.

"Aw, little GareBear thinks he's too cool for hugs." I put my arm around my brothers shoulders and pout my lip.

"Shut up Macie." He laughs.

"You guys did it!" Tamil squeals as she runs up behind me and joins our group. "You graduated! I always believed in you guys! Well Macie yes, Garret was a little iffy here and there."

"Okay, sure. Let's all just make fun of Garret today." Garret rolls his eyes and the rest of us laugh.

"So how does it feel to finally be done high school?" Brian sets his hand on my shoulder and smiles.

"Omg, Brian! I didn't even know you were coming!" I exclaim and turn around to hug him.

"Well I sure as hell wasn't gonna miss seeing you guys graduate!" I step back and look around at these people who I consider to be family.

"So what are y'all doing now?" Tyler pushes his hair back and fixes his jacket.

"Actually, I called in and made a reservation at that cute little Chinese food place not too far from here." Tamil smiles.

"Aw, thanks Tam!" I nod with excitement. "I- HOLY SHIT!" My feet leave the ground as two arms wrap around my waist from behind and spin me. Paul, Sam, Teala and their parents all join our group, laughing as I'm set back on the ground. I quickly turn around to see Danny smiling at me.

"Hey to you too." He laughs and sets his arm around my shoulders.

"I told them there'd be around thirty people just in case anyone else wanted to come." Tamil informs the rest of the group about the plan.
