Chapter 90

*Next day*

"That sounds absolutely wonderful!" Marie claps her hands together after we finish playing her the song Danny and I wrote last night. We were supposed to wait until today to start but after I showed him all my lyrics, we sat down with a pencil and a guitar and the words kinda just wrote themselves. "And Danny, your voice is just lovely. Gosh, I can't wait to hear the final product!"

"Thanks Marie." Danny blushes and sets down the guitar he was playing. "We were thinking that maybe we could add in a few more instruments. Like a piano, or maybe a few orchestral sounds."

"Perfect! Before we get too into the vocals, we should work on finding a base track and gradually add in everything else. Does that sound alright?"

"Sounds great!" I nod.

"Fabulous! I'm gonna go grab some coffee first. You guys want anything?"

"Maybe some water, if that's not too much trouble?" I smile politely.

"No trouble at all! I'll be right back, you guys can get started." She grins and leaves the room.

"Ah! She loves it!" I squeal and stand up, throwing my arms around Danny.

"Okay, she's literally the nicest person I've ever met. This is intimidating."

"But she loves it and that's all that matters!" I hug him tighter. "We should start building a track though. I was thinking maybe-" I'm cut off when Danny kisses me. He keeps his hand gripping my chin until I bring my hands onto his shoulder and he puts his around my waist. We stand in the studio for a few minutes before there's a knock on the door and I pull away.

"Just thought I'd knock so I wouldn't interrupt anything." A familiar voice speaks as the door handle turns and it slowly pushes open. "I was told I could find a Miss Taylor here?"

"Omg, Tyler!" I scream and run into his arms. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?!"

"I wanted it to be a surprise!"

"Ah! Well come on in! Danny and I were about to start with the instrumentals." I lead him over to the table where the computers are sat. "How long are you staying for?"

"Just the day. I'm only here to check up on you and make sure that my little star is still as bright as ever." He nudges my arm after his horrendous dad comment.

"Oh my god Ty." I laugh as Marie enters the room with 2 coffees and 2 bottles of water.

"I heard that Tyler decided to stop by!" She smiles and hands him one of the coffees and the waters to Danny and I.

"Marie!" He hugs her, then they both take a seat. "How've you been?"

"Wonderful! Macie here's incredibly talented!"

"I'm very aware." They both laugh. "Shall we?" Tyler gestures towards the soundboard.

"We shall."

...

"Alright, same time tomorrow?"

"Of course!" I giggle and throw on my coat. We spent the entire day in the studio working on the track.

"Great! See you!"

"Bye Marie!" I smile as Danny grabs my hand and we exit the room.

"I didn't know this was gonna take so long." Danny shrugs when we step into the elevator.

"It's only been a day. I told you it could take up to a week."

"Yeah, but I was hoping we would get done a little early so we could have some, you know, alone time."
