DANNYS POV

I knock on the guidance councillors office door and wait for her to open. Garret texted me a few minutes ago saying that they were leaving. The door swings opens and Amy's smiling face stands in front of me.

"Well hello there Danny! What brings you here today?" She greets me cheekily.

"Hey, uh... Has Macie spoken to you recently?" I scratch the back of my hand nervously.

"She came to see me once last week, why?"

"I... I need to tell you something." She nods and moves out of the doorway, gesturing me inside. I sit down in the chair across from her desk and wait for her to take a seat.

"Now what is it that you need to tell me?" I go into an elaborate story about what happened between me and Macie. I tell her about the party, the breakup, I even tell her about Rick. "Sounds like that Rick guy is right." She taps her pencil on her notepad.

"Can you talk to her? Please? I would try, but I know she won't talk to me." I beg.

"Of course." Amy sweetly replies. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I look at it to see a text from Garret.

"She's here." I tell Amy.

"Alright. I'll get the secretary to call her down to my office. You better get going." She smiles sympathetically.

"Thanks." I rise from my seat. Amy buzzes the office and asks the secretary to make an announcement.

"Macie Taylor, please come to the Guidance Counselors office." The secretary's voice booms through the speakers. I walk over to the door and turn the handle.

I exit the room right as Macie turns the corner. I feel my heart shatter all over again when she makes eye contact with me. Should I say something to her? She walks straight past me and into Amy's office. I should've said something. I'm such a fucking idiot.

I walk down the stairs to first period chemistry. Alone. I sit down in my usual seat, the lack of Macies presence driving me insane. I miss her so much.

"Hey Danny!" Ariana waves at me. "Is Molly here today?"

"That's not her name."

"Great! Take that as a no!" She grabs her bag and comes to sit next to me. Normally I would tell her off, but today I don't have it in me. I just want to go home so I can cry in peace. "I got my nails done. Do you like them?" She shoves her painted nails in my face.

"Sure." I sigh. I wish Macie was here instead of her. I hope Amy helps her through this. I can't stand the feeling of knowing that we're not together anymore.

"What's wrong?" She asks. I can tell that she doesn't really care, she's just upset that I'm not paying attention to the bullshit coming out of her mouth.

"Nothing. I'm fine." I lie. Ariana is definitely one of the last people I would ever want to tell my problems to.

"Tell me." She demands.

"No."

"Yes, tell me."

"No! Okay, can you just leave me alone right now? That would be great thanks." I silently rage on her as to not draw any attention to myself.

"Fine. Whatever." She rolls her eyes and rises, returning to her normal seat. Good. I can't stand her.

"Okay class. Today we're going to be working on..." Mr. Benson starts talking when the bell rings. The class drags on forever, as does the rest of the morning. All I can think about is Macie, and how I hope she's doing okay.
