Chapter 35

MACIES POV

*Friday*

"And begin!" Ms. Kolin tells us as she clicks the button on her stopwatch. We all begin silently sketching for 5 minutes until her alarm sounds. "Time!" She announces. I add my drawing of what was supposed to be a koala, to my collection of terribly illustrated pictures in the Art section of my binder.

"What time is the party?" Teala whispers to me from across the table.

"I'm not sure. I'll ask Drew after class." I reply. Danny rolls his eyes at the idea and I laugh.

"I fucking hate Drew." He mumbles causing me to giggle even more.

"Okay class!" The teacher claps her hands together and begins talking. I zone out, as usual for the most part of this class. After a long lecture about the paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci and how we should never confuse him with Leonardo DiCaprio, the bell rings and we're set free.

"I'm gonna go find Drew. I'll meet you guys at mine and Garret's lockers." I tell everyone before hurrying out of the classroom. I know Drews locker is right beside Danny and Pauls, but I don't want to cause any trouble with anyone so I choose to go find him alone. I see him and his SnapBack coming out of the staircase. I approach him, causing him to smile and pull his earbuds out.

"Hey Taylor." He stops and stand a little too close to me. I back up into the wall, but he just steps closer.

"What time is the party?" I ask. He flips his blonde hair and stares at me with amusement before speaking.

"So you decided to come after all?" He laughs.

"Ya, but I need to know what time it is." I tell him again. He smirks, amusement clear on his face as he leans against the wall.

"Nine."

"Thanks." I turn around to walk away. His hand grabs my shoulder and I look back at him.

"See you there." He grins. I return the smile and walk upstairs to meet everyone at my locker.

"Did you find out what time it is?" Teala questions.

"Ya, it's at nine." I open my locker and organize my items. "If you guys show up at our place a bit earlier, we can all drive together."

"Sounds like a plan." Danny nods. I close my locker and kiss his cheek. We all leave the school together and break ways. I get in the car with Garret and make conversation.

"So do you know when Sammys moving here?"

"They're arriving tomorrow morning. We should go say hi." He turns his keys in the ignition and the car sparks with life.

"Of course! Too bad she couldn't come with us tonight."

"Ya. I'm just excited for her to get here." Garret smiles adorably.

"You're blushing!" I repeat the mocking words that he's said to me more time than I can count.

"Shut up Macie." He steals my catchphrase. We both laugh and continue talking until we reach the house. I get out of the car and shut my door. I unlock the front door and sprint up to my room to take a shower and decide what I want to wear. I know the party's not until 9, but a girls gotta be ready.

I hop in the shower and wash my hair, body and shave, then shut off the water and step out. I wrap a towel around my body and blow dry my hair. My stomach growls from my lack of eating today, but I choose to ignore it. I curl my hair and spray with with a little hair spray so it stays all night.

"Macie? Do you want any supper?" Garret knocks on the bathroom door.

"No, it's okay. I'm not hungry." I lie.
