Damon was a sweet person, when you looked deep. But on the surface and to a lot of people that didn't know him he came off as sort of a dick. He had been, and in someways still was that hot jock in highschool who bullied others just for fun and walked around like they owned the school. He had a lot of trouble expressing his feelings so he just bottled those feelings up and gave off an I don't care vibe. But one emotion of his he couldn't quite hide for long was his anger. He had an anger problem. And, you know, he didn't get angry for no good reason. It took a lot to get him angry. But when you did, the things he'd do to get back at you would range from embarrassing moments to murder, depending on his mood. Which is why Kat and her family stood debating on who would go after him to make him feel better before he would try to retaliate against them in his anger.

"You know I think it should be you Kat" Karen began. "That's right, throw the sick girl to the wolves because that makes sense" Kat said throwing her hands up and letting them slap against her thigh in exasperation. "You didn't let me finish. You're his favourite. If anyone can get through to him it's you" Kat stared at Karen like she had three heads.

"Didn't you hear what he just said? He's pissed because he thinks I'm the favourite. Besides do you hear how much we bicker? Wait of course you don't seeing as you're never around anymore "

"Low blow Kat and so not what this is about right now!" Karen said, suddenly defensive.

"Enough girls. Kat you should go talk to him. Despite what you think, you are his favorite. You're his baby sister. Just make him know that we love and support him. Then you get back and we'll talk about all this okay?" Their dad suggested. Kat sighed and nodded.

"Fine but Ash is coming with me" she said and grabbed his arm and began pulling him behind her before they could object.

"He's not a part of my pack. I can't subdue him if it comes to that" Ash said as they headed down the stairs. She couldn't hear it but she knew Ash was listening to something that made him believe Damon was that way so she followed willingly.

"I know. I brought you along because I want to talk to you without my whole family there. What is going on with all this Ash? I woke up today and the only problem on my mind was my bad dreams and what I'd wear to my surprise sort of party that I knew you guys were throwing me but now all this?" Kat sighed and Ash laughed.

"By the way I knew you knew what we were planning" He said.

"Yeah way to focus on what's important here" Kat said.

They were walking into the woods behind her house. Their house was somewhat isolated and was located close to the woods that the humans feared was hunted. It was. By supernaturals.

Kat was about to remark on Ash's ability to get distracted faster than a baby when she saw her brother.

"Chris is gone. She went home because she said her dad would wanna see her. I feel so empty. I miss her so much already" he said quietly. That's when Kat truly understood. Her mate bond with Logan for whatever reason was transferred to Chris and Damon.

"I'm sorry D, we all are. We love that you've found your mate and you're happy. We were just a little shocked is all. But we are so sorry that you're missing her so much. Tell you what, you're gonna see her again tomorrow at school so that's something to look forward to" Kat said. Damon's eyes brightened.

"You're right. If I sleep now then the morning will come soon and then I'd get to see her again" he said and hugged her then sped to what Kat imagined was his room to execute his plans.

"Well that was easy" Kat said and shrugged.

Suddenly, Kat felt a blast of power, a kind she had never felt before. She looked around but couldn't see anything.
