Of course people are always entitled to their own opinion. It is, afterall, their mind. But sometimes, Kat felt some people didn't even deserve to be able to think because they didn't do it anyway. Those were her exact thoughts when she finished the story of their transfered bond and their need to fix it and Logan laughed and said, "Nice try Kat but I'm not falling for this. You just want to date me so you got some friends to help you and you faked all this"
"You sure I can't kill him?" Bub asked. His feet were on the table and his chair tilted back.
"I've got this. Logan, honey, I don't want to date your pompous ass anymore than you want to date my pretty one. You bullied me half my life! But I'm here to help you, believe it or not. If you don't want my help I'll be on my way. See how long it'll take you to kill your guards and your people. And then you'll go on a rampage forcing the council to put you down. So what's it gonna be pretty boy?" She was bluffing. She didn't know that he would get that bad, she didn't even know that he'd get as bad as he had. She tilted her chair backwards and strove for the cool, disinterested look.
"Why should I trust you?" He asked. She had to concede he had a point. She had every reason to hate his guts and want to get him back for what he did to her.
"Because I have nothing to gain or loose" she said calmly.
"Fine" he said.
"Fine" she replied.
"So what now?" She asked Bub.
"Now you have your first date" he threw his feet off the table and got up.
"I'm leaving. Don't leave this castle till I get back Katrin" and with that he was gone.
"So you're best friends with the devil" Logan said by way of starting a conversation. She was surprised that he recognized him by sight alone but didn't show it. If he made the connection to Jason he didn't show it. Although he was so self centered she doubted he ever noticed Jason at school, and that was something since they'd attended the same school since middle school when Jason joined the school.
"Not really. Bub and I are... let's go with business partners" she said.
"Bub?"
"Yea. Beelzebub. Oh but don't call him Bub or he'll kill you. He apparently hates that name"
"So why does he let you call him that?" Kat frowned in thought.
"I don't really know but that's besides the point. Where are we going to have this date if you've destroyed your whole castle?" She inquired.
"We could go to the garden. The guards there would never let me in if I was feeling murderous"
"Doesn't that count as leaving the castle? I'm on strict orders" she said and even managed not to laugh too.
"I'm talking about the indoor garden"
"Oh well, let's go then" they walked together in awkward silence until they reached a large heavily guarded room. They walked in and she gasped softly. It was beautiful. It contained so many beautiful flowers she could not name. There was a beautiful shimmering lake in the middle of it all.
"Oh wow" she exclaimed after she finally located her tongue.
"Yeah it's pretty great. It's my mum's. She's always taking care of it. It's like her second child" They walked to a white bench facing the lake and sat.
"I've asked the guards to bring food so it could be like a picnic"
"Thanks. You know I've never been in a situation as awkward as this is. I've hated you since I was sixteen and now I'm supposed to date you" Kat mused.
