Chris

She was afraid. She'd led her best friend to the man who wished her dead and was responsible for most of the attacks against her. She knew her father was unstable. He could do anything really. She wouldn't put it past him to kidnap Kat and keep her in the dungeons. Frankly, Kat was better off with Aldron than her father. His cruelty was unmatched. And it was scary because her father would see Damon as unimportant. Which meant to him that he was disposable. She shivered to think what he'd do to him, to them.

"Yeah I'm Kat. Unless you're more of a dog person. Then I'm Katrina" Kat replied. Honestly, Chris admired how Kat could joke in situations like those where there was obvious tension. But her father was not a joke person.

"I've heard so much about you" he said.

"All good things I hope" she said with a smile that Chris knew.

Chris smiled. Kat was feeling him out. She'd caught on to Chris's clue that he wasn't perfectly safe for her to be around.

"Indeed" he replied.

"You visit our castle, our daughter and don't see it fit to come and pay your respects?" Her mom spoke up.

"Pay my respects? You guys aren't dead are you? Am I talking to ghosts from beyond?" Kat teased. Her father's face hardened, as did Kat's eyes.

"Hmm, I would hope not. How would you like to stay and dine with us?" Her father replied.

Chris wished she could shake her head no at Kat without being seen by her parents.

"Respectfully, I will have to decline. You see I don't think you'd be happy to have my friend, Beelzebub for dinner. He's on his way right now to pick us up" smart. She was trying to call Lucifer.

The smell of sulphur filled the room and Bub appeared leaning against the door.

"Well that is most disappointing. Do drop by some other time" her mom said as her dad was too preoccupied with grinding his teeth in fury.

"We will of course. Thanks for having us your majesties" with that, Kat  bowed. She grabbed Damon's hand and walked toward Bub who held the door open for them. Chris followed with a heart filled with joy and dread. Joy because Kat wouldn't be hurt by her parents and dread because now her father was mad and who better to take it out on than her?

"Right so I'll see you guys soon. Thanks for coming" Chris said. Kat frowned.

"Chris you know you can talk to me about anything right? I'm here for you. Always" Kat said at the main doors.

"I know. Thanks Kat" she said and pulled Kat into a hug.

"I love you" Kat said with a goofy grin. Chris rolled her eyes.

"I know" she replied, then turned to Damon. "Bye Damon. See you guys whenever" she smiled then stood as they went to their car and drove away.

She sighed and turned back to the prison she called home.

"He's furious" Monty said.

"Of course he is. Kat undermined him by calling Lucifer. I'm sure he was planning something once he heard she was here. But he can't afford to be on Lucifer's bad side" she said as they walked into the castle together.

"Maybe if you sneak into your room and he doesn't see you he won't take it out on you this time. Here, come with me through the servants passage" he said. They began walking to the entrance of the passage way but stopped in their tracks when they heard her father's voice. Her eyes widened. Her father never came looking for anyone. He stayed in his throne room or meeting room and sent people to demand the presence of whoever he wanted to see.
