Chapter 19. Weird

They wore blue Tuesday and went to see movies all day, red Wednesday and went to play paintball, purple Thursday and went ice skating and were supposed to wear pink but Kat convinced Chris to make it black. She would break Marie out wearing black if it killed her. Black was just chic.

Kat wore a long sleeved black dress that went down mid thigh with a belt and black thigh highs that she found among her things in the closet. It seemed like everyday she found new clothes in that closet. Chris wore black jeans, a tank top and a black leather jacket and black ankle boots. Jan wore a black short skirt, black crop top and black biker boots. Marie wore black overalls with a black shirt under and black ankle boots.

Chris refused to take off her jacket although it was sort of hot. Kat asked her repeatedly why but she kept avoiding. When she and Jan tried to take it off she freaked. They became worried but let it go when she claimed the 'friendship means never having to give a reason' clause.

They were sight seeing. It took a long time to convince Karen and Cain that it would be fine to go round the city with Aldron on the loose. But in addition to Caspian and Gregor, there were numerous other guards incognito following them around. And Kat knew after what she'd do, they wouldn't let her out ever again. But it was worth it if Marie got free. Kat had been keeping up with gossip from Cali and Julian had been looking for Marie and recently, Kat. He knew if Marie was missing, Kat had something to do with it. Thankfully, though the Keres and Vampires were sister tribes, they weren't on the best terms and didn't attend Cain's and Karen's engagement so Julian didn't yet know that the new Vampire Queen was Kat's sister and that she was currently vacationing in the castle. But it was only a matter of time until gossip reached him and he learned that the Karen, second in command turned Queen, was Kat's sister. From then it would be easy to put two and two together.

"Hey Jan, are your Mom and/or Dad shocked by your change in outfit every time we do color week or do they know what we're doing?" Kat asked as she and Jan strolled behind Chris who was dragging Marie and taking selfies with her every five minutes, and in front of Caspian and Gregor.

"Nice try Kat. Not so subtle though" Jan rolled her eyes.

"Come on. Why won't you tell me anything about your home life? We've been friends forever and I don't even know your house!" Kat complained.

"It's complicated"

"That's what you always say" Kat pouted.

"Because that's what it always is. Drop it darling" Jan said and sped up. Kat sighed.

"I have to use the restroom guys" Kat said. It was time for the plan. Even Marie didn't know what the plan entailed. She didn't even know Kat had a plan. Although she reassured her most nights before going to bed that she would help her, Marie still didn't believe Kat could do anything about her situation. During the day she was happy but at night, Kat usually caught her crying in her room. Everytime, she felt her heart break more and she hated that she didn't try to do something more to help Marie get away from Julian before.

"I'll come with you" Gregor said.

"You wish you could cum with me" Kat said. Caspian laughed and Gregor deadpanned.

"I'll wait outside the restroom" he said. She smiled and walked into a restroom she saw when they were walking through the halls of Vancouver Maritime museum.

The rest of them walked away and she strode in.

"Hey handsome" she whispered to Ash who was leaning on the wall across from the door.

"Hey beautiful. You really sure you wanna do this? Julian would kill you if he finds out and that'll really start a war because none of us would let him touch you" Ash replied.
