"Rise and shine beautiful" Chris sang and suddenly, bright lights blinded Kat. She groaned and threw a pillow over her face.
"It's summer vacation. Why can't I sleep in?" She asked groggily from under the pillow.
"You just stated the reason. You need to have fun during summer. That's what it's for!"
"Leave me alone you big meanie" suddenly the pillow was snatched from her grasp and her face left bare to the evil that was daylight. She didn't want to wake up. Sleeping was so much better. There you could forget all your problems and worries and just, be.
"Come on" Chris said. Kat opened one eye. Then grinned like the Cheshire cat and opened the other. Chris was the most covered she'd ever seen her. She wore yellow trousers and a long sleeved yellow crop top with tan ankle boots to add a little color. Her yellow purse hung from her shoulder.
Jan on the other hand wore yellow high waisted shorts and a yellow halter top with brown ankle boots.
Marie wore a yellow sun dress that came down to her thighs and a yellow sun hat. Her tan leather boots came up to her calves.
"I guess today's yellow huh?" Kat asked, amused.
"Yes and you need to get dressed so we can go out" Chris said as Jan and Marie sat on the bed.
"Where? We don't have to go anywhere and I just wanna stay in bed all day" Kat whined even as she sat up.
"You're not gonna sulk all day. Not when we're around" Jan assured her. Chris grabbed her hand and pulled her up. Then shoved her toward her bathroom.
"You suck!" Kat yelled as Chris slammed the door in her face. She sighed and took a hot shower.
Bub probably left when she fell asleep during the movie. She appreciated his presence or she would have cried herself to sleep. She still couldn't wrap her head around what happened the day before. How could Logan expect that she'd want to be with someone else's husband, sneaking around and hidden from his family and his people? The nerve of him!
"No crying in the shower!" Chris shouted through the door.
"I'm not!" Kat said with an eye roll. She turned off the shower and wrapped the giant soft towel around herself. Her cosmetics were on the vanity table in front of the large mirror and equally large chair inside the bathroom so she prepared and even put on a little make-up to hide the puffiness of her eyes. She then put on her robe and stepped out.
"So where are we off to? I need to know what outfit to choose" she said to the three girls who lay on her bed probably talking about her.
"Yellow and a dress or skirt. That's all you need to know" Kat rolled her eyes at Jan's answer.
She walked into her closet and found the things she bought the day before neatly arranged in one corner. She put on underwear then stood looking at the clothes in disgust.
Marie strode in.
"They said you were wasting time so we played rock paper scissors for who had to come force-" she cleared her throat and blushed. "I mean help you get dressed. Obviously, I lost" Marie smiled and Kat laughed.
"Let me let you in on a little secret, Chris always plays scissors"
"That is so not true!" Chris screamed from the other room. They all laughed.
"Come on, I'll help you pick something out but you can't say no" Marie said. Kat rolled her eyes and nodded.
Marie chose a yellow blouse and a tight yellow and black checkered skirt that would stop at the thigh. She paired it with black knee-high boots.
